Going to Denver for a conference the end of October. I'll basically have all day Sunday, and every evening through Wednesday to do whatever I want. Any must-see places? It's been about 4 years since my last trip out there.

Moving to Italy next week.  Anyone have recs for Naples? I'll take any Italian recommendations.  I have been to Florence, Siena, Venice, Rome, and Milan.

Wait what? Cinque Terre is legit in general, and Florence is my favorite city of all time, but you’ve done that.

You're MOVING to Italy? Damn, that's a big step.

Yup.  Been in the works with a job since late February.  It's finally getting real, but it really hasn't hit us.  I don't think it will until we are there for a couple weeks and realize it's not a vacation.

Cinque Terre is definitely on the list.

Try the wine and pasta. You're welcome.

This is awesome.  How did you end up with the job?  Know someone?  Know where to look?

Boulder--it's a great city with some really cool bars/restaurants

Sort of a mixture of both.  I had been trying for 3+ years.  I probably messaged at least 30+ random people overseas in my career field on Linkedin.  A guy was kind enough to respond to me, eventually he gave me his boss' contact info, which led to an interview and the rest is history.

Greve in Chianti region is gorgeous. It’s about an hour outside of Florence. I wouldn’t go there for a weekend, but I’d look into an AirBnB if you have like a week vacation.

I have some restaurant recs if you go that route at any point. It’s a super small town, but the views at dusk and night are just incredible. Rolling wineries and the house you’d be staying in likely looks over all of it. All you see is the other houses lights in the middle of the mountains.

Travelling for a work a few times between now and the end of October - Minneapolis, Chicago, then D.C. - probably won't have much down time

There are a couple Browns backers bars in Nothern Italy, but none in Naples.  If I  find a couple fans, I will try and start a Browns Backers Chapter in Naples.

I’ll try and find some pictures I took, but it was 2005, so before everything was saved on digital platforms haha. I’ll have to do some digging. We stayed in a bigger villa, about a 30 min walk/5 min drive to town because we had 15 of us, but they definitely have single family homes for “rent”.

I live in Denver. Anything specific you'd like to do? Late October makes outdoor recreation tough. I would recommend hitting Larimer Street in RiNo one evening. You can walk between 5-6 breweries. Ratio, Odell, and Our Mutual Friend are three that I enjoy within a 2-block radius.

Nothing specific, really. I'll probably just brewery hop most of the time I'm there. I think I'm staying at the Hilton City Center, there appear to be a ton of walkable options.

Hit the wineries along Lake Erie east of Erie, PA and up to Westfield, NY over the weekend..  Mighty picturesque area in the fall and the smell of the grapes at harvest time is everywhere along the Route 5 / Rt. 20 corridor.  Always a fun weekend.

Got to stay a night at the new TWA hotel at JFK on Tuesday. It was pretty cool.

Holy hell this forum is dead.

Anyone going anywhere worth a damn?

Just booked an Air Bnb in South Beach in March for WMC. Steamboat in early Feb. That's all I have on the calendar.

Looking like Sanibel/Captiva first week of April will be the next trip for us. Having a kid sure does cut down on the international travel lol.

I’ve been dying to go to Europe. Flights have been crazy cheap. The kicker is I promised my girlfriend I wouldn’t go until she could. She’s Venezuelan, passport expired.

But she just got her residence card and can apply for a reentry permit. Unfortunately it’s $575 for two years and it’s an 8 month process. 🤦🏼‍♂️

Aiming for Amsterdam and another city this time next year.

Booked the wife and I's trip down to New Orleans for our five year wedding anniversary. We got married down there and headed back for our one year. We plan to head down every five years.

We will be down there from 12/24 -1/2. We are pretty excited to experience a Christmas and New Years down in New Orleans.

Only thing on the horizon is a trip to Orlando for a wedding in March. Not my first choice, but I'll take some warm weather and a trip to Universal. I haven't been since I was a kid.
