Good Lord. I just posted something. Didn’t mean to upset so many.

Never ever have I thought Harbaugh deserved to lose his job at UM

Does Chryst have a worse record than those before him that has earned a firing? Is there more to the story?

I don’t think there’s any more to it.  I think schools are just way quicker to pull the trigger on firing a guy than ever before.  Wisconsin isn’t going to be Alabama/Georgia/Ohio State no matter how many guys they fire.

You didn’t upset me at all. I’ll look for any excuse to get into a debate, and this seemed like a good one (has Harbaugh been good at UofM). I despise politic debates, but love going at it in sports.

My argument would be that good is relative to expectations. I think that UM's fan base used to have a higher level of expectations than they do today.

I think one big thing on that sheet that needs to be taken into consideration is the one conference title. Seems that Harbaugh had been on some degree of hot seat for a few years and got a pass after 2020 solely because that was the fucked-up COVID year. My guess is that if he hadn't won a B1G title last year, he wouldn't be there now. Chryst hadn't done that and got off to a bad start this year with a team that just doesn't look like it will do much of anything.

Personally, I think Harbaugh got a longer leash than he should have simply due to his status with the school, but I also think the divisions in the B1G are unbalanced enough and skewed towards his half being WAY tougher on average than Wisconsin's half that using team records and division titles isn't the most accurate gauge.

The UM fan base has not adjusted expectations.  They are delusional and think their program is elite.  And it was elite during the Industrial Revolution.  But not since.

I have a feeling Ohio State is going to woodshed MSU this weekend.  I think Mel Tucker's $95 million guaranteed contract may possibly be the most absurd contract in an sport full of them.  Without Kenneth Walker, arguably the best running back in the country last year, he has a losing record.

The Bucks should be able to name the score. Hard to believe that Sparty's last season-killing win over tOSU was in 2015. Feels more recent.

Israel Abanikanda for Pitt just went for 320 yards and 6 TD on 36 carries. Dude has elite breakaway speed.

Pittsburgh people were hell bent on Kenny Pickett….I won’t be sad if Abanikanda is a Steeler down the road.

If you hate bad play calling (Ironman) don’t watch the last play of the Bama - A&M game

Just brutal. What in the actual fuck? Was that a true effort?

They should drop to #3 behind Georgia and OSU but I bet it stays the same.

Ball was spotted at 2 yard line, he throws it out of bounds to receiver who wasn’t even in the end zone.

A&M should have had 6 seconds instead of 3. There was a lot of contact on the last play that should have been called.

For the first 26 minutes of the 2nd half of the Baylor-WV game, neither team could accomplish getting the lead with the ball.  Then WV made an interception after getting a 3 point lead, then promptly turned it over on an interception which Baylor converted into a FG to tie it at 40.

WV with a FG with 33 sec left to win 43-40.

#81 Davis for WVU was the main TE being used in that 4th qtr and in on big blocks. I coached him in baseball and basketball.

Kinda lucky win though. Baylor’s QB was rolling with 325 yards and WVU guy knocks him out of the game with targeting and back up struggled.

Very rewarding for you to watch #81.

I hope this doesn't start a trend to sacrifice a freshman DB for a few quarters of game time to knock out a hot opposing starting QB.  In fairness though, it was close to being that the tackler had launched his tackle attempt before the QB even started to go down, and he didn't hit him helmet to helmet.

For 40 years he hasn’t been able to get out of his own way.

Exactly.  I friggin’ idolized that guy when I was a kid.   My favorite athlete by a country mile.   It just now seems like his fate is going to be very sad, which is saying something after the sad life he’s led.
