posted by justincredibleWhat kind of shoes? I love a good dress shoe.
I went with some plain toe Allen Edmonds. I think they'll look pretty sharp and was easy to to get the matching belt. I considered some whole cut (I believe they're called) as I like the clean simple asthetic.
Any recs?

Suit itself was $800 after tailoring. first time in my life I wasn't buying a cheap suit, it's nice to finally have a suit I'm proud of. I wish the US would lift the import taxes on italian wool so it would have been ~$500 but I disgress. (Thanks Trump SMH)
Shoes, belt, and shoe tree were $$400 after taxes.

I have a pair of Cole Haan's like these. They are extremely comfortable, especially nice when you have to be dressed up but will be on your feet a lot.
T-Bone, here are some pics:

Not that I know of. I found one online for $249.

Oooo those are nice. I recall someone on here in the old fashion thread metioned that they liked wingtips as well.

Shoes can be totally worth it. I have several good pairs that go as well with a suit as they do with dress slacks or jeans. They last longer than "cheaper" shoes, which is a big plus if you're going to be wearing them a lot more than just occasionally with a suit.
I don't know what kind of suit you got, but if you do the research a lot of suit snobs will tell you the designer brands, even on sale for $600-$700, are not very good. At least not as far as durability - won't hold up to more than occasional wear (and much less occasional dry cleaning). A few online stores have a pretty good reputation in that price range. I'm trying to lose some weight and then I think I'm going with made-to-measure for a few bucks more.

I really like these. SUPER comfortable (rubberized/softer sole) and work equally well for both casual and dress. I was looking at a similar type Ecco (@ $200), but it just wasn't dressy enough.
I've been searching for a deal on Cole Haan double monk strap loafers. I refuse to pay full price. If you keep your eye out you can find some great deals.

Nordstrom Rack is great. That's where I got my Cole Haan's.
Shitttt, that's exactly what I want for a wedding I'm in in April. I'm a size 13 though. :(

Agreed. The store can be a cluster fuck, but if you have patience can usually make it worth your time.
I got my AE as factory seconds which dropped the price in half.
Bought two 3X24x48 Patio Stair not cheap ...
Heavy SOB, little hard moving them around and picking up myself but i got the stairs built and it looks great.
posted by Laley23I got mine for about $300, but there are different versions. You can typically find the Decimator DMOD Quad Split for about that.
Now, from there it gets a bit tricky. Because this is used commercially for TV Trucks (mostly), the input is SDI. They have HDMI to SDI cable out there, but not sure how expensive. I took mine from work. So, as you say with the cable box’s and fire stick, you’ll have to go hdmi into the converter and then sdi out and into the quad. For the OTA I went with a tuner, as OTA signals are analog and your tv is digital (most TVs have a digital tuner built in now, but we are bypassing this to get a split).
Lastly, the operation. You can set it to be many different things. 4-3-2-1. Can program different sizes and can switch the routing or the window that is playing the audio. I fucking love it, and I personally think it’s worth the (slight) hassle of setting up. Using the program you’ll need a laptop or tablet (anything with a USB port, really) and simply toggle through whatever setting you want at that time. I have an old tablet that functions as a “remote” just sitting by my couch. You can switch all that manually, but getting up and down if wanting to swap stuff can be annoying.
Ill post some pictures to give you a better sense of what I mean.
And I can also send you SDI cables if you want and save you the money.
I tried to quote all your responses and pictures but apparently it didn't post. That is pretty slick. I'll have to hit you up with questions when this is closer to reality. How does SDI compare to HDMI? Noticable difference?
i bought a Smith and Wesson M&P 15 this weekend. i've recently become addicted to wild pig hunting and the bolt action rifle limited my kill count 2 weeks ago when we went. On a related note, i also bought about $60 worth of cooking supplies and we are having a whole hog cookout in 2 weeks at my buddy's farm. we have 6 to cook and i think this first time around we are doing 2, having like 70 people over.
Nothing major. Bought some clothes, swinsuits, etc. for my vacation and then a bunch of booze on said vacation. Only souvenirs were two koozies and an ornament.
My husband and I are still shopping for a new bed and mattress. Shit is taking forever because we cannot agree on firmness (TWSS) or price.

SDI is an uncompressed video signal. I’m pretty sure it isn’t sold commercially. Only used professionally. Everything you watch on TV is going through many SDI cables before hitting your cable box.
Its probably slightly higher in capabilities than an HDMI cable, but regardless it’s being converted back to HDMI, so that’s the quality that will be output on the screen for you.

Pardon my ignorance on all of this. I feel fairly tech saavy when dealing with laypeople but obviously a little over my head here.
So the Decimator connects to the TV/Projector with an HDMI port? But you have to connect your sources to the Decimator with SDI? So, a Roku/Fire stick would need to plug into an adaptor that goes HDMI to SDI, and the SDI end into the Decimator? A standard cable box would be able to go straight from the box to the Decimator with an SDI cable.

Yeah, you have the flow correct. It seems like more than it is. Only thing is the cable box has to go into an adaptor as well. Unless your cable box has an SDI out, which I’d highly doubt.
The one thing, which probably doesn’t matter if you’re going cable boxes, is if you get NBC/ABC/etc via an OTA signal. Those are analog, so you need to go from the wall into a tuner. That will convert it into digital and you can take the HDMI out into a converter. But, like I said, doesn’t sound like you get any channels from OTA/Antenna.

I wouldn't mind having OTA/Antenna to get basic channels. I really would prefer only having to have two cable boxes in the basement. A typical day using this would look like this, on a random Sunday in September/October at 1 PM.
Cable Box 1: NFL Redzone (sound)
Cable Box 2: Baseball Game/One of the local NFL games
OTA/Antenna: Local NFL Game
Stick: Random NFL game streamed from a friend's Sunday Ticket account.
For college football and hoops, it's less of an issue because so much is available streaming from Watch ESPN, Fox Sports Go, NBC Sports App, etc but I think having that local broadcast would be clutch, if it is possible.

That’s basically what I do also. Every so often, my wife wants to watch her shows, so I give her the sounds and use headphones through the roku app.
But yeah, I’ll throw on red zone, OTA, Fox Sports Go and then usually a soccer match or something else. If only 3 things on, Red zone gets the bigger window and then 2 games get the smaller.
Looking forward to baseball season and being able to watch a bunch at once.
The nice thing is using a USB extension into a laptop or tablet or something. You can download the program (in pics above) and change everything basically instantly. So if something goes to halftime you can switch audio to another window instantly.
