Lol no. We take our liquor on in wine bottles. One per person, and it's always been enough to last the whole week.

It was between this and the Zoom H4N, but went with this because the Zoom requires attenuaters for recording out of certain mixers (DJ recording). The Tascam is awesome, so easy to use.
Just bought an insulated tube for my Camelbak for snowboarding. It froze immediately that last 5 times or so I've used it. I was about to bail on and using a pack completely until I discovered insulated ones were available.
Getting a muzzle break on it for sure, looking at swapping the trigger but will wait until i shoot a few times. Next immediate step is to install the purchase that preceeded this most recent one:
The Elk Hunt is coming together nicely.

Nice. I haven't been hunting since I was a teenager, but I've had the itch the last several years. I think I'd like to get a decent bow, I was a great shot in high school at the archery range at FFA camp, and try my hand at bagging a deer that way.
I've never had the need to modernize my bow (even though they dramatically improve almost every aspect of a compound bow about every 4 years) but if/when that day comes the only brand you should shoot is Mathews. The Halon is their best hunting bow.
This is the quad split. Have a digital tuner on the way to get OTA signal from analog into digital, so I can have that as the 4th input. Probably get a Roku stick instead of the PS3 as well, since no sports apps are available on PS3, other than the sports packages.

I'll keep this in mind if I ever do decide to buy one. I'd likely get one from the previous season, or buy used, as I definitely don't need the best tech available.
the savings is minimal, the difference in tech from year to year is not however. whatever you do, talk with someone who bowhunts before you buy. ideally talk to several becasue they'll all try to sell you whatever they use. i would say listen to all their thoughts and go with the one that solves whatever of those are the most important to you.
Sennheiser HD25 Plus
So pumped, been wanting these forever.
This thread reminds me that I haven't really purchased anything fun in a while.

Tell me more. I quick a quick Google...is the Quad split really $600 or am I looking at the wrong verision. I am intrigued by this. I'm trying to figure out my new basement setup and I'm not sure if I want to mount 3 TVs across the wall and then have to run cable to all of them. However, with this...I could do a large projector. 2 cable boxes, an over the air antenna and a fire stick and have 4 screens going quite easily. Are the dimensions customizable or are you stuck with 4 equal screens whether you have 4 things going or not?
I haven't bought anything fun recently. I'm ripping out my deck and having a patio poured in the spring, golfing 6 days in Myrtle Beach over 4th of July and just booked all-inclusive in Riveria Maya in November so if that counts...that's what I've bought.
Nothing fun. Just got an estimate for a fence $5k, woof. Bought wife a present for having our baby, $400.

What kind of fence? How many linear feet? We need to replace ours and I'm not looking forward to it.

The quote was for 190 feet of 4 foot white vinyl picket scalloped fence. We live in a neighborhood that has to be white, and painting a wood fence every year bc it sits in direct 100 degree sunlight sounds terrible.

I got mine for about $300, but there are different versions. You can typically find the Decimator DMOD Quad Split for about that.
Now, from there it gets a bit tricky. Because this is used commercially for TV Trucks (mostly), the input is SDI. They have HDMI to SDI cable out there, but not sure how expensive. I took mine from work. So, as you say with the cable box’s and fire stick, you’ll have to go hdmi into the converter and then sdi out and into the quad. For the OTA I went with a tuner, as OTA signals are analog and your tv is digital (most TVs have a digital tuner built in now, but we are bypassing this to get a split).
Lastly, the operation. You can set it to be many different things. 4-3-2-1. Can program different sizes and can switch the routing or the window that is playing the audio. I fucking love it, and I personally think it’s worth the (slight) hassle of setting up. Using the program you’ll need a laptop or tablet (anything with a USB port, really) and simply toggle through whatever setting you want at that time. I have an old tablet that functions as a “remote” just sitting by my couch. You can switch all that manually, but getting up and down if wanting to swap stuff can be annoying.
Ill post some pictures to give you a better sense of what I mean.
And I can also send you SDI cables if you want and save you the money.

Nice. Is the .40 option relatively new?
