Agreed. Hopefully she'll end up facing criminal charges and/or civil penalties for being complicit in this whole ordeal.

Apparently over 140 police reports, complaints?

A lot of heads need to roll.

MSU President steps down amid the fallout of the Nassar trial.

Says this shouldn't be about her in a lengthy letter talking more about her than anyone else while trying to make it sound like she's a victim (uh, dumbass, when a bunch of young women and girls were sexually abused and people are seeking justice and trying to get to the bottom of why everything was covered up for so long, that doesn't mean incidents are being "politicized"), coming off as almost as tone-deaf as Nassar with his "Hell hath no fury like a woman scorned" letter where he painted himself as a victim.

Judge said "I just signed your death warrant"......my wife is in the law field and she was shocked by that.

I don't think it's an appropriate comment for a judge (and doesn't make really make a ton of sense).  But judge is an elected position, and some aspire to greater things (like a tv show, or perhaps Congress....and, hey, why not both?).

Although I imagine that had to be a really stomach-turning trial to listen to.

Yeah, what was it? 5-6 days of non-stop testimony of his victims describing what he did. Probably would take all a person's professionalism to not personally take a box cutter to the dude's poking fingers (and possibly other parts) after that.

It was certainly a weird thing to say when pronouncing a "life" sentence..  I was watching the broadcast.   I got bored early on, she was all over the place on her soliloquy, wasn't making the impact she wanted to make.   With her voice, there should have been fewer words and more staring.

They should have let the guy get ahold of him for a few minutes.

I wonder what will happen to the guy.  Fine and misdemeanor, I assume.  Can't see 12 jurors convicting him of anything, though.

I believe the judge said nothing is going to happen.

The judge isn't charging him.

Everyone in the courtroom was told that this is not what an impact statement is to be about.

No profanity and no threats.

No charges, he apoligized to the Judge and she accepted his apoligy.

I wonder how many folks would have cheered if the father had gotten to Nasser and killed him?  That would take us right back to a discussion of whether the death penalty is morally wrong.

I would have cheered and don’t think the death penalty is morally wrong.

Feel bad for the guy. He’s very upset and desperate. And I don’t blame him at all.

My thoughts exactly.   If I was a deputy in the room,  I wound have moved slowly to stop him. Just slow enough to let him have one punch.

If you get on twitter, you'll see the hundreds of people posting "those deputies tackled him and put him in cuffs, yet when a black kid does that on the streets, they shoot him!" and the thousands of retweets. Because it's totally the same thing!

I know I’m being irrational here but it’s frustrating to watch him get tackled within a couple seconds by police but Nassar was able to survive years of police investigating.
