Mezcal negronis (Banhez).
Don’t really care for mezcal or campari, but I can do one or two.

It was kinda impromptu. We were headed to my mom’s place but she was still at work so we stopped by for one. We’ll probably head back over for a couple tomorrow.
Went to Columbus for a card show and stopped at Crooked Can and am currently at Sideswipe. Both great breweries I’ve never heard of before.

I didn’t enjoy the beer very much at crooked can but the place itself is awesome. Sideswipe is always hit or miss but we go there a lot bc my friends knows the brewer. If you have time hit up the CBC taproom that’s close by.
We went down to yellow springs and branch and bone today.
Justin you ever been to Sonder in Mason?
Sonder is good from the beers I’ve tried from there. I need to make it a point to visit next beer trip to Cincinnati. We usually hit up Listermann, Streetside, UA, and Rhinegeist.im going to have to add them.
For Ohio Breweries I would rank my top 5 in no order:
1) Hoof
2) Dankhouse
3) Streetside
4) Crooked Pecker
5) Masthead
I’m sure I’m forgetting someone who deserves to be on the list

I haven't, but I've had their stuff and I like it a lot.

I believe I've had one or two from Hoof. It's kinda out in the middle of nowhere, right?
Dankhouse is my favorite in the state. LOVE Streetside, it's one of my favorite Cincinnati breweries. If you haven't had Brink out of Cincinnati, it might be the best in the city.

Hoof brewery is in the middle of no where but they have a tap house and restaurant in downtown Columbus. I’ll have to hit up Brink and Sonder on our next trip.
Thinking about going to Sixth Sense in Jackson next weekend.

Lunch and Dinner are good
Dankhouse is great. Haven't been to Crooked Can yet. Wasn't impressed with Sideswipe, but it's been a few years since I've been there.
We just had one beer each at Crooked Can and Sideswipe. Maybe we got lucky? Hopefully they've just improved over the years.

I went to high school with one of the crooked can owners. They actually basically franchised a brewery in Florida. Crooked Can was a brewery in Florida and they just opened a location here in Columbus. I love their concept with the shops and food vendors (the cheesecake place is amazing) but they should have partnered with a better brewery. I could only imagine that spot and concept serving Dankhouse beer would be busy open to close.
Sideswipe is so hit or miss. Their Stouts and some NEIPAs are good others are blah.
Justin you need to come to Hoof Hearted next anniversary party. It’s about a 30 minute drive from Columbus up 71. For their anniversary (usually in September so I’m sure it won’t happen this year) they have a music festival and beer festival. The music is usually some crazy band from the 80s no one cares about but the beer festival has most of the top breweries in America there. It’s basically unlimited samples of Breweries like OtherHalf, Southern Grist, and Great Notion. You also get a few four packs and bottles to take home with you from Hoof including Dragonsaddle (Hoofs Best beer).
Last weekend, I got a bottle from a local distillery, Tenth Ward. It was their Summertime Liqueur. It was Apple Brandy with honey, raspberries, and lemon. We threw it on the rocks and it a perfect summertime drink. Wife and I killed the bottle over the weekend.

Hoof is by far my favorite brewery and beer. I am usually there picking up cans every other weekend. I have a fridge full of beer. 80% Hoof beers.

Agreed on Dankhouse in that location would KILL. My wife brought up the idea of trying to franchise a Dankhouse taproom down in Cincinnati.
I had a NEIPA at both places, my wife had a sour at both places. We both liked what we had.

I used to be there every weekend. Then I had to much beer in my fridge. I have been getting beer shipped to me a lot during corona so I’ve been drinking a lot of Treehouse, Monkish, and OtherHalf beers.
I enjoy going to the Draft Room in Westerville they have a great selection of beers on tap or just taking a drive to a new brewery.
