Or “smells Cannabis”
Since when do cops need an actual reason for searching a car? Feel like if your have a lightbulb out, they’ll call that the reason. And if you actually have shit in your car, they’ll say the search was justified.

Sure, nothing is going to stop them if they're hellbent on searching. That doesn't mean it's a legal search.
In that case, state you do not consent to any searches and then lawyer up.
But it seems like cops are more likely to target those that likely don't know their rights, and/or don't have the ability to get a decent lawyer to fight it in court.

Seems like a missing front plate only comes into play if you commit another driving offense.
do you seriously believe this? lol

LOL
I mean, it's literally the law, right? You cannot get a ticket for just a missing front license plate. It spells it out quite clearly.
or issues a ticket, citation, or summons to the operator or vehicle owner for the other offense.
Yeah right. That’s the way the seatbelt law atarted
Considering they're removing the front license plate requirement in the near future, I don't see how that's applicable.
I kinda find it funny vball says they have both plates on their cars because "it's the law" but lol's when I post the actual text of the law as if it doesn't matter.

So you’re driving home drunk. You do nothing wrong (driving wise), but a cop pulls you over because you don’t have a front license plate. He smells booze on you, and issues you a DUI. Do you think a lawyer is going to get you out of the DUI because “the law” states that they can’t pull you over strictly because of the front license plate?

It's a fair point, and probably not, but it's a little different than my scenario of a car search.
I guess it depends on how high you blow, too. Lawyers get DUI knocked down to reckless op all the time.
I have both license plates located on the front of my car.
