Sorry Justin, looks like all my Larkin card are later, save for a Topps 1989, but you dont have it listed, so must already have it.

Not as many as you guys, but HOF cards next to all my Indians cards. Some Tribe overlap with HOF. I collected for about 2 years, maybe less. So feel I did pretty well. I have zero cards past the mid-90s. Thinking about buying some packs online and maybe some older ones to bolster the HOF book I want to pass on to my son in 10 years.

I've only got my list updated through 1992, so anything not listed after 1992 just hasn't been added yet. I still need a TON of cards from '93 on.

Well, nothing in particular. Lindor I suppose, or any recent Indian. But, its more the fun of maybe uncovering a gem. I may just buy a bunch each year, and then in a decade open them all with my kid.

Ok...my collection comes to a pretty good haunt around 1997...I have some after but not a lot. My principal is bugging me to take his collection off his hands for a very low price. He says some boxes are unopened.

Anyways....any old unopened packs with cards of any value are ridiculously overpriced. I was looking for some packs from late 70’s-early 80’s and the prices were insane. I could buy the individual valuable cards way cheaper and not have to mess with all the players you’ve never or barely heard of.

If you would ever like a good array of stars/HOFers from early 80’s and on I have doubles and more of most every card. I’d get you cards for about 1/3 of value or so and put together something cool and nice....not downloaded with Sid Bream and Danny Darwin cards.

Sounds good!

Ill be organizing by name this week sometime. From there I’ll try and figure out some of the better older players I’d like. Hell, I’ll probably just scroll through the trivia guesses lol

HOFer lol....don’t know where I got it but it’s in great shape. Little value, but cool 46 year old card

See, that kind of stuff is pretty cool.  And you're right.  For a card that old, it's in really good shape.

Decided to take a break from Larkin sorting and sort my vintage stuff.

I have the complete 1960 Reds team set that I posted earlier. I had 9 of 30 of the 1961 set I so I decided to jump in to complete that set. Lots of bids on ebay right now that could take a big chunk out of the missing 21 cards.

I have nothing from 1962, but a decent start to 1963 (9), 1964 (12), 1965 (11), 1966 (9), 1967 (10), 1968 (11). Only 1 from 1969.

From the 50s I have 15 from 1959, 3 from 1958, and a few randoms from other years, mostly the Nuxy and Big Klu I posted earlier.

Met my principal and took his collection of cards from his attic to see what he has. 1979-1995 cards mainly and the bigger cards aren’t in the boxes. He had some Topps posters from 1967 with Mantle, Frank Robinson etc....they look to have good value but wouldn’t know wth to do with them.

He had 8 sealed/unopened boxes of 1994 Topps (each box has 36 packs and 12 cards a pack)....looking at prices the cheapest I found a box was $23.95 on eBay, Amazon etc. I have 8 of them....wondering if they’d sell quick for $10 or $15 a box with a simple FB post.

36 packs of 26 year old cards for $10

Not wanting to ship or anything but would that deal interest any of you (not gonna happen with shipping but just asking)

$15 too much?

I wish they were from 1991 or 1992. I don't really remember collecting the 1994 set so it doesn't do much for me. Busting packs from 1991-1992 would bring back some great memories.

Found a guy on ebay breaking up his 1959 Topps set so I've got a lot of bids in for the remaining 19 I need for that set.

Nice. I went through my principals’s cards and he had a lot of Reds cards of 60’s and 70’s....none of the big name and a lot in poor condition.

This is an awesome thread and made me breakout my old cards.

I grew up collecting more basketball cards from the 80s and 90s than baseball. I have a fair number of Jordan's naturally, but also some Bird and Magic. I have most of the early and late 90s Bulls along with other HOFs and All Stars from the 90s like Barkley, Hakeem, a ton of Shaq's, etc. I have a few Kobe Rookie cards.

I also have a fair number of NFL cards from the 90s. A lot of Cowboys and 49ers I noticed, also a lot of Barry Sanders.

In my home office here where I am working I have several cards framed on the wall including:

  • Jerry Rice: All time catch leader
  • Joe Montana as a Chief
  • Shaq: Rookie and 1996 Dream Team
  • Ken Griffey Jr: 1995 ALDS
  • Mark McGuire: Chasing 62
  • Michael Jordan: Baseball card and return in jersey 45
  • Michael Jordan: Hardwood Leader in 1996
  • Michael Jordan 1996 playoff card with jumper over John Starks
  • Michael Jordan large framed Upper Deck photo dunking over Gary Payton in the 1996 finals with a quote, "Perseverance: My Attitude is, if you push me towards something that you think is a weakness, then I will turn that perceived weakness into a strenght."

Well that box I was going through had 16 boxes of unopened 1994 Topps....I just sold them for $10 each on FB in 25 minutes lol.

I wasn’t expecting that quickly or selling them all (keeping one for myself 😁)

Are those the ones with the players on a TV set 📺?

He hit the first home run at Jacob’s Field while with the Mariners.

And what Tribesman hit the first home run there?
