Yeah, nothing super high dollar, but a cool card from 1909 nonetheless.

The 1948 Leaf Big Klu will be my next vintage purchases. Also a few 1930s Lombardi cards I'd like.

Read how people were buying multiples of every mass produced set back in the late 80's thinking it would "put my kids thru college" and basically lost everything.

I vividly remember as a kid in the mid 80's there was a guy in the card shop telling my mom "yeah, I'm going to put my kids thru college with these...I don't even take them out of the box, they go right into a temperature controlled vault".

Ouch.

Yeah, I heard that the response to that in the '90s was to "overproduce" to satisfy the demand.  As a result, not too many of the cards I collected as a kid have any real value (sans some of the inserts, which had rarity baked into their production).

Can't remember what I paid for it. I believe it was $13 or something close.

LOL

Just found a 1992 college card of John Lynch.

The NFL player, current GM for the Niners John Lynch.

Didn't even know he played baseball.

Found one.  TSC '96.  A little damage to the front, though.  Stuck in a box for too long, and the two cards stuck together.

I have a ton of 1985-1995, so the timeframe fits. I’ll take a look. Just keep in mind you’ve priced yourself into about a 100x markup...

I think I've misplaced two of my higher value Larkin cards and I'm driving myself nuts trying to find them.I KNOW I own them but they aren't with any of my other cards.
