Sorry, just asking a couple of questions.

Bullshit. You have your agenda...

Agreed - enemy of the people is a bit much, however they have made their bed by having a liberal or conservative lean when reporting the 'news'.

By leaning one way or the other, they have removed any objectivity they may have had.  Therefore, their reporting has a bias to it that blows their impartiality.

This goes for CNN, FOX, MSNBC...even the local stations of all media (print, radio and television).

If they want to recover any credibility, they need to go back to just reporting what has happened without putting their own spin on it.

Problem is, even if they try and do that, Trump and the anti-media folks will just continue to pound them. There is also the Fox News problem. If all the other media go to calling the facts, then so does the right wing darling network as well.

Neither "side" has ever been 100% down the middle, nor should they be expected to be. It's just gotten orders of magnitude worse and where they used some amount of subtlety to attempt to mask it somewhat, that no longer seems to be a concern.

From another site:

Interesting how some stations are calling these "suspicious packages" while others are calling them "explosive devices."

Bomb expert on CNN Headline News just called them "Mickey Mouse" and not functional. Said the red and black wires are straight out of the movies.

Saw that CNN is reporting on the recipients of the "bombs" as "Trump's targets." As if he were sending the bombs himself.

That's every bit as bad as ANYTHING Trump has said about the media. They should be destroyed by every news outlet regardless of lean.

why should they?  Their viewership stays strong enough for them to be profitable.  If enough people who believed the "mainstream" news media is unfair simply did not consume it, change would be inevitable due to market forces.

What really is the "mainstream news media".  Maybe 15-20 years ago, you could call it the major TV networks, cable news, and national newspapers.  Thaat still seems to be the definition of "mainstream news media" today.  That's problematic because a huge chunk of the population gets its news from outlets other than those mentioned above.  The barriers to entry for a news outlet are low, which means we have tens of thousands of choices.  Included in these choices are every flavor you could ever imagine: liberal, conservative, libertarian, anarchist, fascist, etc.  To say "the mainstream news media is liberal" is very misleading.  Maybe some of those traditional outlets lean more liberal.  But today, those traditional outlets only comprise a portion of how people receive their news.  "Mainstream media" is a meaningless term because it doesn't include all these others.

Now I know a lot of people who watch a particular news outlet do so expressly because they disagree with it and therefore they can fuel their outrage.  But beyond these people, I cannot imagine anyone in this day-in-age who literally thinks we are somehow prisoners to some united message pushed by the "mainstream media".

Maybe what we need is the Volcker Rule for media.  If you want to be in the NEWS business then that is all you do.  No longer can the media outlet be in the NEWS business, and also the opinion, advocacy business.  Pick one, but the wall goes up between the two functions.

That kinda goes beyond freedom of the press.

Bottom line is people need to be left with the liberty to have it all out there and decide for themselves.  Freedom of the press and speech is in the Constitution to ensure that those that hold power over individuals and organizations via government can not wield that power against them.  The press and individuals are not beyond criticism themselves by government officials as long as its left at merely words.

They found two more packages today, addressed to Corey Booker and James Clapper.

But, looks like they have arrested a Florida man.

Big soccer fan too apparently (and very weirdly). Clearly a wacko, but I smell some Trump blaming coming up.

I'm going with double false flag operation.....

That van is way over the top - someone is trying too hard to convince you of their love for Trump.  EXACTLY what a liberal nut job pretending to be a right wing nut would do....but even MORE exactly what a conservative nut job pretending to be a liberal nut job pretending to be a right winger would do!
