a few things:

1.  Do we know if the so called "bombs" were actually live?  

2.  Why would a right wing group do this 2 weeks before an election?  Timing doesnt add up.

3.  4 or 5 bombs and letters on the same day does not fit the profile.  Especially mailing to 2 former presidents.  

None of it passes the smell test.  Someone is trying to hard for a october surprise.

I'm keeping an open mind of who it is, but as I said it doesn't matter. Each side will paint that person/s in their own light.

The President did a nice thing today with his statement. It was the right statement...now, let's see if he stays on message tonight at a rally. 

And Nancy Pelosi and Chuck Shumer came out with a joint statement saying his comments "ring hollow" because he condones acts of violence. Forgetting all of their own party who encourage incivility at peoples homes, restaurants, places of work, etc. Get real.

Anyone see the picture the news posted of what it looks like? Doesn’t look very legit, basically screaming hi I’m a bomb.

Also, #magabomber, was the top trend on twitter. Guess the whole wait for some evidence missed everyone

So, I had surgery today and still a bit drugged up. What did Trump say that was so great? I don't mean word for word, but the gist of it.

He condemned the attacks and said violence has no place in politics.

This is already going as expected. 

Pro Trump folks=bombs are left crazies trying to change the narrative before the election 

Anti Trumps folks=crazy MAGA folks and Trump is to blame. 

Also, the White House going all anti-media is so expected and just sad. 

I'm still holding out judgement, but it is going exactly as expected. People are so quick to retreat to their corners. 

It'll be interesting to see how it all shakes out. The only certainty at this point is that it won't be surprising in the least.

They do deserve a decent amount, but in this case the "how" matters. The bull in the china shop approach used by Orange Man is not helpful.

The media is about 90% to blame on the national rhetoric.  They spew everything in a negative tone.  Literally 100% of their coverage on Trump is bad.  CNN hasnt reported a positive story on Trump in a  year.  

They fail to go onto TV last night and tell everyone to stop.  They couldnt wait to get on TV and blame Trump.

No shit. For someone who hates CNN so much he sure gives them a lot of attention. If you hate it so much, don't watch. It's not that hard. 

Guys like CC and QQ are the exact same as the over-the-top lefties at Jezebel, Splinter and all the other former Gawker sites. They consider it their life's mission to drown themselves in "the other side" so they can constantly bitch about bias, unfairness and basically everything all the time. But it's always good for a laugh to watch them bitch about one side's bias, while being at least as biased in their own thinking. Essentially the real life version of the "unreliable narrator" literary trope.

I'd hold off on reserving any judgement about the nature of the bombs until the FBI/ NYPD delivers the official word. But, I'm sure you are racing to your own conclusions already.

Agreed - enemy of the people is a bit much, however they have made their bed by having a liberal or conservative lean when reporting the 'news'.

By leaning one way or the other, they have removed any objectivity they may have had.  Therefore, their reporting has a bias to it that blows their impartiality.

This goes for CNN, FOX, MSNBC...even the local stations of all media (print, radio and television).

If they want to recover any credibility, they need to go back to just reporting what has happened without putting their own spin on it.
