So the Rs passed it as well by an overwhelming majority, yet you try to pass if off that Rs don’t care about baby formula by posting that BS picture which was about a vote for funding for the FDA.

Come on, that’s some bull shit and you know it.

You are just as bad as QO, just the other side.

I posted it just bc of icl comment about how the right “cares about baby formula shortage”.. well..except for the MAGAts I guess.

We also have the same people on this thread complaining how long it takes the FDA to address Abbotts plant closure try to justify voting to not give the FDA money for resources.  But… irony has never been lost on you, I guess.

If they had the resources to shut it down; they have the resources to open it up.  None of this is rocket science.

Like_that also fits the jmog mould of vehemently claiming they’re not Republican, but defend them at all costs. And only attack the left.  Both like to take jabs at p-town when he claims he’s centric and not left.

But.. again… it’s the irony for me.

I can tell my post struck a nerve, because it's painfully obvious that you found the photo posted as a gotcha to Republicans, and you didn't even look into it.

Where have I ever said I don't lean right?  I don't try to pretend I'm someone I am not.  This is why we give ptown shit, when he claims he is moderate, but even his "conservative" beliefs are not even conservative.  I will say I haven't voted for a Republican since Romney, and I regret that decision.   That's the truth, and I am not insecure enough to try and hide something.  If I was a registered republican and voted down party line I wouldn't be afraid to post about it on an anonymous forum lmao. That's not to say I wouldn't vote for one. I would vote for a Republican if his/her stance on most issues lined up with mine, but so far the GOP only has a small handful for me.

In this same thread I called out Republicans for spending out of their asses, so I am not sure where you are claiming that I go out of my way to defend them.  What I will call out is inconsistency of logic and faux outrage, which I see a lot.   I will remain principled, but I can't say the same for you.

Good to know you are the gate keeper of what is considered conservative views.

I'd say people that usually tout they are principled in their views rarely if ever compromise or see the faults in their worldview

8th consecutive DOWN week, which has not happened since 1932.

Take care.

Speaking of wasteful spending....flying the Ukraine bill to SK for Biden's signature.

Nevermind it's probably 50X the cost of fedex or UPS, it might not even be necessary:

Supposedly going with someone already traveling there for official duties.  Whatever - all about tanking approval ratings and needing the photo op.

Down 15% from the 52 week high.  Nasdaq down 30% from the 52 week high.   Disastrous.

Worse yet, there will be no change in the policies that brought us this collapse, so there is no hope for recovery.

Enjoy.

Here's a recent history of bear markets (investors don't pay attention to the Dow - the S&P 500 is the "market").

https://www.foxbusiness.com/markets/history-of-bear-markets-since-1929

1973: 21 months, -48%

1980: 20 months, -27%

1987: 3 months, -34%

2000: 31 months, -49%

2007: 17 months, -57%

And there are other recessions that probably weren't as long or as painful.  But looking at the fundamentals, along with inflation not seen since the 70's....-40% seems optimistic.  Already in bear territory, and a recession in the next 12 months I could definitely see another 20% drop, easily.

I bet this went over really well with vulnerable Dems running for re-election.

But, you know, Joe is as sharp as ever!

Kamala Harris lost another senior adviser today.  She's giving Trump a real run for his money.  Except as VP there's not nearly the same pressure on her people, so she's probably even worse.

When I was in my late teens/early 20's I trained at a bodybuilding gym owned by Mr Eastern USA in NE Ohio. His wife was cheating on him and the wife of the guy who she was cheating with secretly videotaped them and sent it to this dude, who was a roid monster (saw him feed a live kitten to a rottweiler, asshole). Dude lost his shit, shot up her place of work with a semi-automatic and held the SWAT team at bay for three days in his house. They came in and confiscated 25+ auto & semi-automatics.

Fast forward to the union part....he was union member at Ford. They sent him to a psych facility for 6 months, he got out, went back to Ford, got a $5/hr raise for his "job"....sweeping a 10 x 10 space with a broom all day. If anyone else were to sweep in his area they'd be violating union rules.

The funny part? She cheated on him AGAIN and him and his son did it again.

Yeah, unions "smart for business..." right

This is the most anecdotal story denouncing unions I've ever heard.  If the guy was Irish, you  could have similarly ended with "fucking Irish".

Look, when you've been rejected both by your state (against fucking Cruz, no less) and by the nation's D voters, you have to do SOMETHING to at least pretend you have relevancy.
