Again, it's funny you pick Greenwald as I'm sure you would have roasted him some years ago as a Marxist.

I didn't 'pick' anyone; I posted a column about the NY Times trying to come a little clean almost two years after the fact.

Stop shooting messengers and try to focus on what is actually going on.

Here's an honest question...

Hunter Biden is shady as hell, I'll give you that.  I don't see that he's done anything in life except trade on his father's name.  That is pathetic to say the least.  But it is the same shit kids of presidents have seemingly always done.  Reagan's sons, Chelsea Clinton, Obama's girls, Bush's entire family - the list goes on and on.  Eric Trump, Ivanka and Jared live in +$10MM mansions due to business contacts that came from Donald - many while he was in  office.  Jared was given control over US ME foreign policy.

So why are you so outraged over Hunter, but don't seem to be bothered by Trump's family trading on their father's time in office?

I didn't vote for Biden and I think Hunter is a sorry case, so my angle is not to excuse them.  They are "swamp" as you'd call it.  But no one has benefitted more from the presidency than Trump's kids.  And who the hell knows where US policy may have been influenced by what would be beneficial to Ivanka, Erik, Jared, etc.

Ted Cruz charting Judge Jackson's sentence reductions in child porn cases.

Really scraping the bottom of the barrel there to stir controversy.

I've said before, these abuses are rampant throughout Congress, and it's why Republicans aren't actually super excited to go after Hunter.

Whatever it was they booked Manafort and Gates on had been an openly ignored violation, and ended up ensnaring a few Obama people.  You could almost feel an "oh shit" moment where there's a scramble to seal that can of worms back up.

Ha, that’s the bottom of the barrel? Short memory? She’s going to be appointed anyway, I think it’s fair to get her on record explaining what she chose reduced sentences (compared to the sentencing guidelines) for child porn peddlers.

I'm pretty sure the Trumps were in (real) business long, long before Donald became president, and were mega-millionaires long, long before Donald became president.  I don't think they had to be, or were involved in shaking down foreign regimes in return for monetary gain.  Given the media's infatuation with all things Trump, we'd have heard all about it.  It is the career politicians and bureaucrats who seemingly have the foreign corruption schemes down to a science, and well beyond the eye of the domestic media (who wouldn't care anyhow since they sleep in the same beds).

Most of the sentences were reduced 15-20%.  She had the discretion, and the point seemed to be that in other areas, such as drugs, sentencing is considerably different for producers vs. distributors vs. users.  Seemed like a big deal about nothing.

That seems like splitting hairs.  Just because someone's family came into the office with money, it makes it less problematic that they should gain favors with foreign corrupt government (e.g. Ivanka with China) as a direct result of their blood relations?  I agree with you - if Hunter Biden received unearned benefit from his dad's position, it is horrible.  But I think it is extreme naivety to somehow think Trump's any different than the rest.

The grift machine that the Bidens are capable of is unprecedented.  As for you comparing other kids of presidents to the drug abusing, hooker loving criminal that Hunter Biden is might be the greatest reach ever on here.

Hunter Biden is a huge POS, if the stories about his computer is real (which they likely are) he should be serving time.

Call me old fashioned but I prefer sex offenders get closer to the maximum sentence, not below the minimum. And I don’t even care about her appointment as it changes nothing, but giving an 18 year old 3 months in prison for having videos of 8 year olds engaging in sexual activities is pretty bad. That said, my main point was it’s laughable you called it scraping the bottom of the barrel after the Kavanaugh bullshit. Questioning actual things having to do with law is not even in the same galaxy as that shit show.

So this lady couldn't or wouldn't define what a women is when asked.  Said "i am not a biologist"\

WTF.....serious political and social things happening around this issue and she doesnt want to asnwer?  Isnt this why all college majors take general education during the 1st year to insure that people are well rounded?

So I guess she will be talking with a biologist to help her do judge stuff when these cases come to the supreme court.

Imagine the outrage if a liberal Supreme Court justice’s spouse were involved with overt political texts encouraging a democratic president’s staff to promolgate a conspiracy about a “stolen” election. Tucker and Co. would poop on the air.

For the record, I think it’s pretty bad. But the people calling on him to resign are dumb. The election deniers are stupid and fucked up the entire Senate bc of Georgia.
