There is no such thing as a "fair" system. Look at the NFL. They bend over backwards to create fairness. Still there are teams that you know year after year are going to struggle and still teams that have never played in a Super Bowl.
Oh really? I didn't know. Maybe the OHSAA can do something to level the playing field for you guys, like maybe letting you assemble 7 county all-star teams.
Just so we are clear what is and what isn't an advantage, if a school had one of the best QB's in the country come and visit from a state 3000 miles away, would that be ok?
If your talking about the kid from Oregon, first of all, the dad was transferred here, secondly, they, as far as I know, the family hasn't made a decision yet as to which school the young man will attend, and thirdly, if you want to refer to a sophomore to be, who saw VERY little time on the field last year as a freshman as "one of the best QB's in the country", then I don't know what to tell you.
What would be more fair? Maybe if he attended your school? Be honest. Wouldn't you welcome a top shelf athlete to your school if he and his family showed an interest?

I believe the OHSAA rules are clear on what constitutes recruiting. Its section 9 of the bylaws. Are you going to come up with a solution?

It was purely a hypothetical question. It is funny how you seem OK with kids choosing to go Massillon (which is their right to do), but you have a problem when kids choose to go to a private school? Shouldn't the kid and family be able to do what they think is in their best interest for the future?
Private school coaches can't do anything that public school coaches can't do.

While we are talking about this, help me out here. I am not sure whcih school to be angrier at. Girls D4 finals. Berlin Hiland is being unfair for making the finals 11 times, and Harvest Prep's top 3 players were transfers from Grove City and did not choose my school, which is literally across the street. Who should I be angrier at?

That sounds pretty fair to me. Do you have a solution for this problem?
