Ottawa-Glandorf def. Orrvile 21-20

  • Swamp Fox
Let's give Genoa some credit and let's give Orrville the win based on the Genoa result. I still think Genoa is an outstanding football team and anyone who can beat them gets my vote. Let's call it Orrville 27 Ottawa 20

I assure you they won't predict a 3+ TD victory while incorporating their JV kicker to kick field goals on first down. They are some pretty decent people out there.
OG has always been a classy program and community, you surely won't be seeing any asinine predictions like that from any one of us.

Think I might be the only one who jumped ship so far. I was one of the first to join jjhuddle so maybe free huddle will be the same and they will eventually make it over here, probably not until basketball season though.

  • orrvillian@heart
Hoobler has already givin verbal to U of Akron.....
  • Riders12
Indiana was looking at Miller at the lexington game..
  • THE4RINGZ
Nice article in the DR today about the special teams of Orrville.
  • RedRider1
Indiana also like what they say of Hoobler during the Lex game.

I know these are highlight films and all, But you cant help be impressed the way Chase blocks down and just flattens the defenders....

Hoobler's older brother was a very good LB also in Carrollton.
  • RedRider1
Played for the Buckeyes for a few years, ended up at Ashland with step-brother Tommy Brenner.

Yep. Heard Tressel wanted him to move to DE. Not sure if that had any bearing on the transfer or not. I didn't follow him at Ashland but I would be surprised if he wasn't a beast there.
  • Gr8fan
Yeah, they wanted him to gain another 25-30 lbs, and move to DE, he really didn't want to, so made the move to Ashland.

Thats right heart, Thanks and the other 6 on the GRID IRON. and the players on the sideline.!

Between the Monheim twins and Sam Reusser, I'm sure they'll filll in nicely. Sam subbed in for Raber last week some.

Funny that we gave up 35 points...well...29 points and everyone agrees that it was a solid effort. But I guess when the team you beat averaged almost 60....it was a solid effort.

45 is not so much a running back as a bowling ball with legs. The kids is hard to tackle. If the Riders can stop him in the middle, shutting the rest of the offense down becomes a lot easier.
  • Riders12
^^ and is 4th in the nation scoring points ^^
  • Gr8fan
#45 will be like Hillabrand of Genoa, very hard runner, and never stops his legs.
  • RedRider1
Definately a team that is not as potent through the air as they are on the ground....Riders have to force them into a lot of 3rd and long...and that means getting stops on 1st and 2nd down.

They ran the ball almost 400 times during the reg. season...that's nearly 40 attempts per game.

Our kids are going to be in another battle in the trenches this weekend.
  • THE4RINGZ
O-G prides itself in being tough up front. That is one thing the head coach strives for, and they have some big strong boys on that line. It will be a great battle.
