  Very surprised at the way Salem has come into this game... However, I think the Red control the second half... I am looking forward to watching this one later.

  Big Red is pulling away now. Big Red was killing themselves early with miscues. Penalties, turnovers, etc. Need to get that stuff right if not Dover and then Mooney would be extremely tough to beat playing sloppy games.

  I was hoping that Salem was going to pull off the huge upset but I did not think it was going to be.

  They tried, and Big Red helped them out in the first half. But Big Red got everything clicking in the second half to make it a non-contest. Good luck next year Salem. You made the Regional Semifinals, that should be considered quite an accomplishment for a team on the rise.

  Just got back from the game...
  
  Steubenville was definitely the better team, but it took them 30 minutes to figure it out. The shot themselves in the foot with turnovers, and Salem capitalized on some of them. Their fans, in their infinite classiness, of course boo the refs as they leave the field at the half because it's easier to blame them instead of just admitting that the Big Red looked awful the first half.
  
  However, Reno got them straightened out at halftime and Macon was a man possessed the second half.
  
  Big Red D was solid all game. Salem's only TD came off of a short field. Toothman got knocked stupid toward the end of the game (I would assume he has a a concussion).
  
  It was a pretty good game for 3 quarters, and though Steubenville ran away at the end, at least they had to play the starters into the 4th quarter for once!

  The clock strikes midnight and since my friend quakeroats didn't make it I shall now leave.
  My post game thoughts:
  1. worst first half ever played by a BR playoff team.
  2. Very proud of Dwight for taking over the 2nd half...big throws...big runs
  3. Officiating was a joke - 5 pass interference plus others
  4. Dover will soon find out - WE ARE BIG RED - we own this region until further notice
  
  Congratulations to Salem - toothman and eisel are both great players. Hope to play again next year.

  They were booing the flag happy refs and there ticky tack pass interference call on Pierro.....news flash: you can lay a hand on a recievers back......You can't climb up his back or push him, but you can lay a hand on his back.
  
  They kept salem's drive alive when Pierro made a nice play to end it.....I'll stick up for a nice, CLASSY kid like Anth when the refs job him out a nice defensive play like that ANYDAY.
  
  And if you are going to be that tight on the pass interference calls, you need to call it in the end zone when two Salem Defenders knock the Steuby reciever down while the ball is in the air......
  
  Yeah, so unclassy by Steuby fans......no one has ever booed a ref before!!!! Get a clue....If booing a ref is unclassy then NO FAN BASE is classy. Get a life w/ your CLASSY/ UNCLASSY BS....It's cliche.

  Officiating was horrible on both sides. Yes those were pass interference calls as Pierro made contact with the reciever while trying to go around to make the catch good calls. They also though missed a nice punch from Petteway but gave him a flag for taunting after.
  
  But all that aside, Steubenville was the better team, Macon was just a beast, although i dont know if i see him as a QB in college, WR or RB might be more his calling. They didnt play sharp in the first half and Salem was able to force some turnovers to stay in the game. Once Steuby got clicking, they were impossible to stop and they owned the lines. If they play like that next week though, they could be in trouble.

  Who said Steubenville Big Reds Can't be beaten????????? If they have a first half like that against the likes of Mooney or DeSales it will be 34-0 before they know it!!!!!!! Need to get those issues resolved quickly!!!!!!! Also Salem picked up on something I noticed a couple of weeks ago, Macon telegraphs and it nearly cost them and then they went away from the pass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  Listening on the radio, I feel like you are wrong.
  
  Not saying that Steubenville will not roll Dover next week, just saying Dover had NW by the "balls" up 21-7 before giving up a fake punt. Not sure that NW ever really had Dover by the balls from listening to it. NW Blew its best chance when they threw an INT at the goal line that would have put them up 2 TDs.
  
  Just pointing that out, but your prediction may be correct for next week.
