So, any time a WR makes a catch and is interfered with on the same play 15 yards gets added to the end of the play? in other words u get the yards u gain from the play as well as the 15 yard penalty? that makes no sense at all.

Gotta give the kids from Dover a lot of kudos. Down 20-7 and they tried to make a game of it. Had me squirmin in my seat. congrats on a great season. I'm sure we'll meet again next year.

Salam kid out of bounce on the TD in the 2nd Quarter, no way: no WAY. Salam fumble in the third, give me a break: he was down. We will take this one for sure.

    GO DOVER GO
    ROLL ALL OVER BIG RED
    oooowwww......OUCH!!!!!

Dover may bump up to Div II from what i hear. I guess alot of boys moving up, do they adjust Divisions every year or every few?

I wish I could say I want the Big Red to win it all but on the 2nd to last play of the 1st half, Marcus was hit and had to leave the game for a play. While it was a good hit and the fans went nuts(on the hit) and thats fine, the loudest cheer of the night from the Big Red side OTHER than maybe when they won the game was when #7 didn't get up right away. Unreal. I had to bite my tongue as there were young kids around me but that was one of the most disrespectful classless things I have ever seen in high school football game...I thought I was in Philadelphia when Michael Irvin was knocked out. Good luck to the players but your fans are assholes
We were cheering the BIG hit. Get over yourself....

And it got louder because our D came to the sidelines...Again, GET OVER YOURSELF!!!!

100% correct. We are not cheerleaders that kneel down and wait for the player to get up. We do that fire up the D. It was in no way to disrespect the Dover player

I would think you would have to decline the penalty and take the TD....Trust me, that's what everyone in the stadium thought too....doesn't make sense to me.

If Dover goes to Div 2, that could make the difference in getting a regular season matchup. Neither team wanted to play in the first 10 weeks because of the possibility of a postseason matchup. Big points game for both teams.

This would be good, and in 2011 Dover will get to be done with 4 of our league games when it is split.

As long as you don't pull a Philly, and schedule down. Didn't/doesn't seem to get them anywhere. Their schedule drives me crazy. Too worried about league play.

That will never happen - look at this and past years - we have always scheduled up. Our league will be Dover, Zanesville, Cambridge, and New Phila. Hopefully they wont feel the obligation to play Claymont, Coshocton may be OK, but Riverview and Meadowbrook will def be out.

How will Claymont be in 2010 ?
  • zhon44622
Hmmmmm. their coach just quit. I doubt they will do anything fantastic in their first year of a new one.

(maybe they will just lose games by 30 instead of 50-60. LOL)

Steubenville's line flat out flies off of the ball. Our D couldn't stop them and gave up 2.5 yards at the LOS consistently all night. Other than being out physical-ed on the line our D played well, considering they were on the field the entire game! Steubenville had better athletes and IMO a better game plan. Dover's O was anemic and couldn't get anything going as BR D was never out of position and always had an answer for anything Coach Ifft called. This game was not near as close as the score showed, BR dominated on O and D. The only area of the game that kept this one close for Dover was special teams, BR better shore up their penalties, kick return lanes, and field goal unit if they want to give Steubenville it's 4th state championship. This Dover fan hopes you can do it, kick ass at state Big Red, take no prisoners!

Congratulations Dover seniors, you worked your butts off and made it as far in post season play as any team we've fielded in the 113 years since young men started putting those 5 letters across their chest and representing our community on the field. This town, your home, couldn't be prouder of you. Your accomplishments have been many, and your character great. There were little kids filling those stands tonight that genuinely admire you. The Dover class of 2016 may finally take state because some 5th grader saw you tonight and went to bed thinking of when he's old enough to wear those 5 letters. It was a privilege to have watched you this year, you have lion hearts. Take these memories and life lessons with you into adulthood, and continue creating success for yourself, be a Tornado forever.

No no no. You cheered on the hit. FINE. Loudest cheer came after the hit and when he tried to get up and didn't. Classless. I hope mooney beats you in your sorry ass special teams.

Sounds like a decent new league. The ECOL or whatever league you are/were in was dragging you down. good luck! Gotta go for the points. That's what gets you where you were tonite. Division 2 will be a cakewalk. Definitely not as tough as Div.3 Reg.11

Its the same league, they are just splitting it into 2 divisions for football. and all other sports will be all 8 schools (Zanesville Rosecrans may be joining in the smaller)
