The "feeder system" of recruitment and training of the talent, which had been in place since the 1930s, was destroyed.
We had over 1400 workout at our combine last year. Our feeder system is fine.

    Massillon full of true idiots.
I'm sorry that you set the bar so low. If you are aiming for anything less than a championship, you are cheating the kids. As far as less benefits, we have two people filling three positions (head football coach, ad, and assistant ad). Sorry if that math confused you.

ONLY a true idiot would post that Massillon bribed this guy with $200,000 as if it was something to brag about.

"The path Nate Moore took to get to Massillon started when Ashland University head coach Lee Owens was recruiting one of Moore’s LaSalle players.

By the time things were said and done, Owens, a former Massillon coach, had gotten the ball rolling on landing Moore as the newest Tiger mentor.

“It’s kind of funny,” Moore said by phone from Cincinnati on Monday afternoon. “We were starting to develop a little bit of a relationship there, and he’s the one who initially brought up the possibility of coaching at Massillon.”

YEAH, OWENS BROUGHT IT UP: THAT'S WHAT GOODRIGHT ASKED HIM TO DO.

IT WAS THE REAL PURPOSE OF THE CALL: TO BRIBE MOORE.

MOORE COULD NOT RESIST ALL THAT MONEY.

    IDIOTS WOULD BRAG ABOUT IT.

    MASSILLON IS FULL OF THEM.

Is that where Massillon does its recruiting?

Here is a link to last year's combine. The kids come from all over the United States and Canada. http://www.studentsports.com/blog/2014/02/19/massillon-nfsc-combine-team/ They all have the dream of playing for the Massillon Tigers. Many of them were inspired by the movie "Go Tigers."

There are 3 jobs involved. 1) Head football coach, 2) Athletic Director, and 3) Assistant Athletic Director. Coach Moore is so talented that he is able to do 2 of the 3 jobs at the same time. If we had to hire 3 different people to fill those jobs, we would have the expense of benefits for 3 people. With the way it is now, we only have to pay benefits for two of them. Was that written in simple enough language for you?

I marvel at the ignorance you exhibit, born out of arrogance, and presented as "intelligence"

Moore is being paid to perform the duties of a full time "other administrator" It is a fact that he is not performing the duties on a full time basis if at all period.

Being paid $80,000 to peform the duties on a full time basis, that is, expending all time during each school day, at that function, means he is NOT performing the duties on a full time basis, and is stealing.

The fact that the MCSD must employ an assistant means that every dollar paid to the assistant, has to be added to Moore's salary, in calculating the total cost of accomplishing the function of that office.

It is ludicrous to suggest that one person working full time, is incapable of performing the duties, because :

1: It was formerly performed by one person.

2: During the entire 2014-2015 school year, the duties were performed by one person.

3: The duties are being performed by one person today, while Moore performs the duties of a full time professional football coach.

The MCSD is a small (450 students per grade) urban school district and it's ludicrous to assert that one person cannot perform the duties of "Athletic Director" especially considering the bloated army of "other administrators" currently being employed in the MCSD.

In fact one person has always performed those duties.

Many districts have assistant athletic directors. Considering that he is also the head football coach of the premier program in the country, it makes to have an assistant to run around and do some of the minor tasks. Are you really going to interupt football practice if an athletic director is needed for some minor task at another practice or game. This set up also allows the assistant athletic director to attend some of the minor away sports in the fall. The bottom line is that Moore is worth every penny he makes if we bring home the championship.

Cite the many districts. Cite size, and compare total administrative load / student of each against MCSD.

I'll give you a month to accumulate that data.

Tell me: who was performing 100% of the duties of Athletic Director from Nov 7 2014, (after Perrysburg mercy clocked Massillon, 56-7 through until .....June 1, 2015?

We know it was not Jason Hall. How many people did it take?

    How many people?

Why is it worth a dime to "bring home a championship"?

Taking into consideration that fielding a football team at all, is a huge expense?

What does a city school district gain?

Does it promote the education of any chidren?

Championships are why you compete. They are why you play the game. If you aren't in it to win, don't bother playing. The city gains recognition as titletown. All high school football fans around the country know Massillon and our greatness. Things are taught on the football that you cannot learn in the classroom. When was the last time 15,000 showed up to watch a kid work out a math problem?

major fail. nothing is taught on a football fields that cannot be learned in a classroom, and for you to assert that there is some special educational benefit to that sport is laughable.

in that sport, only 7 championships are awarded among 700 schools, therefore the activity cannot be justified in terms of championships.

massillon hasn't won a championship in 45 years of any kind.

your own organization: the Massillon Tiger Football Booster Club itself refutes your argument as false.

As far as the OHSAA is concerned there is one school that has 0 championships in any sport: Massillon

therefore your argument is proven to be baseless.

You previously admitted that a great number of kids attending your combine do so because they are dreaming of going to massillon because they saw "Go Tigers"

A film about Massillon getting beat.

I feel kind of sorry for you, really, a person living in an Alice in Wonderland world of delusions of grandeur.

I played on the last State Championship team in Massillon.

Big deal. That and 1.75 will get you coffee at McDonalds.
