Same difference... I got my point across.

I think Fundamentals will be key in keeping it somewhat close. Mistake free football. I would not count them out just yet. I remember a few years back when Girard was suppose to destroy campbell. Even i have to say i didn't think we had a prayer that night!. But like i said i'm gonna be realistic. Stuthers should win! At least they should on paper they have much more experience and strengths. But any given Friday! Well in this case Thursday. I'm allowed hope and to have faith!

Let go Devils!!! If you cant beat them then its Time to hit hard and often! Old school Licks!

I don't know why everyone is considering struthers a lock to win easily, they lost a lot from last years team.

    I think you'll be surprised...

This is a complete rebuild, not like 99. Campbell will be much better half way through season than they are today. Early turnovers and penalties put my Devils behind the gun. Struthers 35-14

I'm not saying that this will be a total cake walk for Struthers, either. It definitely won't be total annihilation like the Struthers/Conneaut game from a few years ago... or even like the Struthers/Campbell game from last year. I'm expecting Campbell to be way better than they were at this time last year.

But Struthers will be just fine... even though they won't have as many familiar faces.

I too give the edge to Struthers because they do have some starters returning on defense while Campbell will have several first time starters out there on both sides of the ball. Regardless of all the hype let's hope for an injury free and competitive game. It's going to be a perfect night for football.

Morris, Dittman, and I believe a young man named Rogers (although I may have the name Rogers wrong) are starters on the line. Williams is a starter at defensive end. Cuevas is one of the linebackers. Koullias is the placekicker. Rusnack, Morris, Dittman, and Rogers are all in the 230 pound range. The fullback is around 190, although I am not sure of his name. Cameron Collins is one of the receivers/defensive backs.

3 will play at one of the receivers, not start but will play, 25 got some carries in the big red scrimmage with the starters. Will be a lot better when 27 is playing, also will move 7 to one of the receivers.

Perhaps the cats will come out with some early jitters. Keys are to ignore the trash talking and play their game. If Struthers plays their game no doubt they will be successful.
Also, congrats to the middle school program at Struthers. 7th grade won 14-8 on a goal line stand, and the 8th grade won with about a minute to go 8-6.

Struthers line wearing down campbell, bigger than I thought they were.

Way way way too many personal fouls. Struthers gift wrapped Campbell's TD. We'll see if they can clean that up next week. I'm hoping it was just because it was the Campbell game, and not discipline issues.

Campbell had a few kids get hurt. I hope they're okay.

3 had a really good game. Where'd he come from? I know he wasn't at Struthers last year.

Struthers could've put up one last TD, but they let the clock run out to end the game.

    Final
    Campbell: 8
    Struthers: 34

That #44 and #18 were only Sophomores. Get ready for a long three years Campbell.

Thought they would have at least 1 shotgun set.

Campbell will be alright. trust me on that. it was only the first game of the year. and i seen some things that peeked my interest. Campbell will get better each week. I just the injuries are not serious.

3 was at struthers and played basketball last season, he was at Canfield before struthers tho.

Funny I said I hope they wouldn't try to run at struthers like that like the scrimmages and you guys swore that they don't show anything In scrimmages, but that's exactly what they ran the niles scrimmage. Young cats brought it tonight, 18 will be an absolute stud as he gets older.

I have an idea why Campbell stuck to the basic old-school plays. My theory is the coaches were under the impression they would be able to run the ball on Struthers, move the chains, have sustained drives, and then open the offense up some. Obviously that did not work. Campbell is obviously a work in progress. It might be a year or so before we see good results. I was impressed with the entire Struthers backfield, especially the sophomores #18 and #44. Good luck to the 'Cats the rest of the season.

Ohio, I thought I summed things up. Struthers program is head and shoulders above Campbell at this point. Coach Rozum has to rebuild the program from the bottom up and change the thinking of the kids from the pee wee level up to the varsity. As ugly as the results were on Thursday night, we did see some good things. It's just going to take some time. I was really impressed with your QB and the sophomore FB.

Call me crazy but Campbell's offense last year was head and shoulders above this seasons. Need to get athletes in space and use them to their advantages
