To be right on here you just have to share an opinion with the majority! lol It was just my opinion that East shouldnt be penalized for having to share, so if I am wrong in your opinion, no problem. I belive I have made multiple good points about the advantages privates have.
Hold up one second here. Just to clarify here...East and Chaney have a combined team under the East name. Students from both schools can play on the football team. And you think that East should not "be penalized." BUT...you think private schools should "be penalized" because kids from parochial grade schools in suburban areas come together to one central location for high school?

    Is that your stance?

^^^^^ Socio economics are why Chaney doesnt have a team. They are being punished because their school district is strapped. The ohsaa allows a student a free pass on transferring if their school drops sports. Why is this situation different?

You guys are like cats, waiting to pounce if someone in your opinion slips up! lol I have made my stance, and am done with this thread.

I'm not trying to pounce on anything. I'm trying to understand. There is no transferring here. This is a different situation. We are talking about one team, using students from two different schools...but you think they should only take the numbers from one school.

Let's put it another way for you. Hypothetically...Ursuline is losing money and decides that they can no longer offer sports to their students. So the Diocese of Youngstown says that Ursuline students can play football at Mooney, under the Cardinal Mooney name. Students will still be attending classes at Ursuline, but playing for Mooney. Using your line of thinking...Mooney shouldn't have to take on Ursuline's numbers for divisional purposes, right? They would remain at 257 boys.

Like I said...I'm not trying to pounce on you. Just trying to wrap my head around your stance here. It just doesn't make sense to me. And apparently, I'm not the only one.

Hahaha at least you're a good sport. I had a chance to see Youngstown East at the UT 7 on 7. Teams better look out for them this year.
