The Rag probably ran out and snatched up all the copies they could find and replaced them with a "revised copy" lol -
BIG RED
OK, Mr IC educated know-it-all...look in the Herald-Star's last insert release for the grade school and HS honors. It was in one day last week. Look up Steubenville High School and under Honor Roll you'll see Dwight Macon!!!sonofsam wrote:Al Capone wrote: :dodgy:

And the list could grow even larger if you add those that have gone on to play college sports at various levels.
James Barron-US Army Commander in Iraq
All of the Keenan boys are doing very well.
Todd Filtz-Maple Heights High school Head Football Coach
Russ Ranallo-University of Notre Dame kicker
Andrew Radakovich-Newcomer of the Year in his conference at YSU for football
Those are few off the top of my head. The list is a bunch longer than this, and it is great that all student/athletes from around the valley have a chance to better themselves in college, many from all schools have gone on to great things, so throwing stones is bush league.
Congrats to all the student/athletes in the valley and keep up the hard work both on and off the football field.
I arrested someone on that list :s....
as for the topic... Macon was just amazing... i'd venture to say that he prolly bearly lettered in the regular season due to lack of qtrs played... not to mention he showed the heart of a lion playing while injured... no doubt the boy from WM deserves some kudos but imo Macon deserved it...
oh and i'm not a "big red" fan... I actually sat on Mooney's sideline and cheered for them... -

Don't really care one way or the other... Was just making fun of the Herald Rag and their bias attitude toward Big Red.BIG RED wrote:

MANAZEyou do know its called the STEUBENVILLE Herald Star right?
if you don't like it open up your own newspaper company. -
FairwoodKing
The Herald Star is a Steubenville paper. If they have bias towards anyone, it should be to Big Red.sonofsam wrote:

Al CaponeYour right fairwood. God knows the young men keep their reporters busy down there.

Strapping Young LadBig Red is the top football program in the Ohio Valley by far and everyone knows it whether you admit it or not. You know it and I know it. Why wouldn't you be biased toward the Big Red??? Maybe when somebody around here can win13+ games every year and state championships like us, they can have some credit. Until then.....Big Red is in the spotlight. The rest of you losers are in the shadows, sulking.

Strapping Young LadPosting at 8:30 am, teling people to get a life. And people think Big Red fans are arrogant.
-
GoChiefsWhat the heck does posting at 8:30 in the morning have to do with having a life? Should he still be in bed or something?
-
Strapping Young Lad"Get a life" says the guy who gets up and goes straight to the internet. 'Accusing someone of sounding like a 12 yr old' goes the guy who says "get a life".
If you don't see the irony I understand why. -
GoChiefs
LOL...He could have been up since 5:30 for all you know.Strapping Young Lad wrote: "Get a life" says the guy who gets up and goes straight to the internet. 'Accusing someone of sounding like a 12 yr old' goes the guy who says "get a life".

Strapping Young LadHe went straight to computer. You can tell. He's been hanging around in threads of a team he obviously doesn't like for 6 hrs. That'd be like me telling him to get a life.
-
Strapping Young LadOk. Time to pull out the big guns.
"Get a life!!!!". "You sound like a twelve year old"....
Bladow!!! -
Strapping Young LadYou obviously can't.
-
GoChiefsOk..you guys take your little contest into PM's or something..Enough of it on the threads. I don't think anyone wants to read you guys talk smack back and forth.
-
tank2nastyI think it's hilarious! I love it!
HATERSRFUNNY! -
ManO'War"sulking in the shadows" LOL..that cracked me up!
-
sonofsamI'm glad that you guys keep yourselves highly amused. To the real world (everyone outside Big Red land) we do not care that your football team is good. We do not care about Big Red. We would just like to have ONE conversation about football without an arrogant Big Red fan saying something stupid... I know how hard it is, but please... Keep your stupidity among you and your friends.

d.woods50fan.when will the creek just flood and you go away !!!
-
sonofsam
The only time I will go away is when you finally come down off your high horse and can understand that there IS life beyond Big Red and that there ARE people that eat, sleep, and breath football for other teams and just because they are not Big Red fans does not mean they cant discuss topics of football when it comes to their team. Bragging and taking shots at other football teams just annoys people, especially the ones that you cheap shot. If you have something insightful or have a question, by all means ask or post it... But if you don't have anything to say other than garbage, then keep your fingers away from the keyboard.d.woods50fan. wrote: when will the creek just flood and you go away !!! -
MANAZEyou say this but you are the same way about creek. good job two face.
