I was told it would be approx. from the thirty to thirty yard lines. Of more interest would be how many more rows of seating on the reserve side. How high up can they go with that?ManO'War;1024394 wrote:Supposed to be 12 to 15 feet on each side. But who knows really. -
ManO'WarI heard that they nixed that plan...but like I said, who knows.

What plan was that? Were they thinking of making the main section higher? They are going to have to if they want to continue to have 10,000 seats. The new bleachers are a row shorter because of the wheel chair track.ManO'War;1025666 wrote:I heard that they nixed that plan...but like I said, who knows. -

In the next few years coming there are many plans going on .FairwoodKing;1027149 wrote:What plan was that? Were they thinking of making the main section higher? Right now they are installing new turf, upgrading lights and painting stadium . They will soon add seats to both sides of Big Red's endzone to make it a bowl . They are also going to add seats to the hill side for general admision and upgrade wheel chair area with roof cover . They are going to add on to the press box and expand it . It will have accomodations for Vip's Such as Elected officials or very important scouts . They will have there own sky box suites. They will then add 10 rows of seating around the press box on both sides and put a partial cover over it like Massillion has. Total extra seating when everything is done wil be another 2,500. We will vie for more state semi final games and possibly the OVAC game . We will also carry more events that will carry national TV coverage . Other local teams will be playing some home games at Harding with a double game or triple game feature a couple times a year .. -
FairwoodKingShortly before he died, my father and I had a long discussion about Harding Stadium. Dad was the last living person to have helped build the stadium in 1930, so I listened to his comments very carefully. He was convinced that the concrete was so secure that it would last another hundred years. Unfortunately, Dad was mistaken. The concrete is crumbling and will have to be replaced. I'm just surprised the school didn't rebuild the whole stadium when they replaced the west bleachers in 2010. I would also like to see them put in seats wth back rests like Brooke has. I have a bad back and they would be a godsend to me.

I wouldn't put a lot of stock into what Thickthin has just said. I think he is smoking some weed.IchsCreekPRIDE;1054910 wrote:Really sounds cool. I would love for Creek to play in the 1st game there. Let's spoil the fun -
FairwoodKingI think the footprint of the stadium will remain as is. The east and south sections will lose one row and the main section will lose two rows due to the wheelchair requirements. The total seating will be about 9000. There will be new turf and the press box will be expanded by about 15' on each side.
What the stadium really needs is a permanent restroom for the visitors, but this will not happen. -
