Not much known about the Vikings...but their QB is 6'6" and is a highly recruited basketball player.
Guessing this will be an Orrville-heavy thread..... -
OQBPlayed with a guy in college who was the Labrae QB.....I'll have to get on him this week.
Sounds like they have had a roller coaster season as well. One thing about this week, come to play or you will be watching week 12.
Let's Go Riders, Focus and determination this week!
BEAT THE VIKINGS! -
CCRollyMore than likely I will be attending this one, will be another nice reminder on how Playoff football feels....ugh.

riders1Labrae Vikings are in the All America Conference Blue Division along with region's #1 Girard ( lost 50-0 ) , #7 Brookfield who was formerly in that same league , but is now an independent.
Labrae played 4 D3 teams and were 2-2 , 3 D4 and were 1-2, 1 D5 were 1-0 , and 2 D6 and were 2-0. Girard was the only playoff team they played.
Orrville is in the Ohio Cardinal Conference and were 7-3 , 5-2 and 2nd place in the OCC to Ashland at 6-1.
Orrville played 6 D2 and were 3-3, played 2 D3 and were 2-0, and 2 D4 and were 2-0. Ashland (D2) and Northwest (D3) were the playoff teams played by Orrville. -
CatsFanOrrville ought to win this one in a rout.
-
thePITmanI can't see Orrville losing this, especially at home. Don't get caught looking forward to the potential week 12 match-up with [you know who]! Good luck to the Riders. Represent Wayne County well!
-
southbender12Orrville is a storied program and they play quite a tough schedule, but Labrae is a few plays away from being 9-1. They have been banged up in recent weeks but should be at full strength come this saturday. Orrville will be heavily favored and rightly so
-
RedRider1Any given night....
Nobody from Orrville is looking ahead. -
OQBThat is why they play the games! We have to take it one day at a time, focus, prepare, and play team football. We do all those things, we have a great shot at a second round game, BUT they have to play the game and earn it...no game is a give me at this point. Come to play for 48 minutes or go home.
GO RIDERS! -

5knotsIt's the play offs. We won't look past tomorrows practice! We know all about being banged up and how that can affect games. Just feels good to beat tsot and be in the bonus round once again.
-
Diehard Rider FanRR1, I would assume their playoff record is 1-3 with only one win. We certainly can't get caught up with the strength of schedule issue as that has a tendency to keep from you preparing enough. This coaching staff has done well with that so I don't expect anything different this year.

you think you knowGo Riders!

OQB^ I had my thread deleted so we don't have any confusion RR1

ahaist8Excited to head to Orrville to soak in your tradition and watch the Vikes play. They have been hit by the injury bug late in the season and they only dress 30 kids. If they can get their backs healthy then maybe they can give you guys tussle. Szoraydy played on Saturday and probably had 200 yards in 3 quarters aganst an under-manned SCC. He didn't look to be 100% though. The qb is a real good athlete, but needs to step it up if the Vikings want to have a cahnce. I hope this info helps. The real question I have is: How is your concession stand?

Ohio
Brookfield is independent now, Labrae has been very good at times and also very shaky at times, i believe their star RB didnt play against girard and girard was coming off their only loss in Campbell a team that Labrae beat..... Labrae lost to Jefferson a team that Struthers blew out and then Labrae beat up on Struthers, Its a team that you never know which one will show up, if they show up and play to the best of their ability they can win but you never know what team you will get, even tho orrville is alot more talented. Be aware of the Qb rollout to his right and thorw it back to the left sideline a play they love to throw to their RB running the wheel routeriders1;950871 wrote:Labrae Vikings are in the All America Conference Blue Division along with region's #1 Girard ( lost 50-0 ) and #7 Brookfield who apparently is in another division of that league

It ain't fine dining. Middle of the road football game fare.
Glad some fans have the important things in mind. -
FlashOhio, sounds similar to the Riders with the injuries and the up and down play. How is their defense? Must have some holes to get 50 laid on ya or is Girard that good?
-
RiderpowerWow just tried to watch the replay of the Wooster game on FS Ohio but it's terrible! Too bad because that announcer sounded like he probably did a good job with play calling. Would have been nice to see some of those instant replays!
On another note..The Other site has a write up on Mason today.
Orrville senior linebacker Mason Monheim worked out at Ohio State’s football camp in June and Luke Fickell and OSU assistant coach Mike Vrabel have been in contact with Monheim during this football season. Monheim continues to hope for a scholarship offer from the Buckeyes.
However, Monheim has not heard from Ohio State in the past couple of weeks. But if that doesn’t change Monheim has other options. He says his list of scholarship offers includes Toledo, Ohio, Akron, Miami of Ohio, Kent State, Bowling Green, Western Michigan, Eastern Michigan and Ball State. Monheim is also talking to Illinois.
“I went to the Illinois-Ohio State game,” Monheim said. “Illinois needs some defensive backs, but they might take just one more linebacker.”
The 6-foot-1 and 215-pound Monheim, who has been a varsity starter since his freshman year, had a huge junior season making 125 plus tackles with two sacks and 28 tackles for loss. Monheim also intercepted a pass and returned it for a touchdown.
Monheim has led Orrville to a 6-3 record this season with 100 plus tackles, a couple sacks and an interception he returned for a touchdown.
“I’ve been in contact with Illinois and Ohio State,” Monheim said. “I talk to the MAC schools a little, but I want to play in the Big Ten. If things don’t workout I’ll play in the MAC.”
Monheim mentioned two MAC schools in particular.
“Toledo and Ball State, they call a lot during the week,” Monheim said.

Sounds like it's time for my annual story relating to common opponents, pull up a chair kids. I tell this one every year this time.
My middle school basketball coach played at The College of Wooster in the early 1970's, they had a decent team and decided one time to run the match ups against common opponets, kind of like the Seven Degrees of Kevin Bacon thing. After doing some math they decided that using this formula, they would have lost to the might Bruins of UCLA that season by a mere three points. Maybe you don't remember what UCLA did in the early 1970's, Google it.
So be wary of falling for the common opponent trap. Go out and play the game.
