Orrville (4-3, 2-2) vs. Mansfield Madison (6-1, 3-1)

LightBig game, and a lot at stake. If we are to make a serious run at the playoffs, we need to start with a win this Friday. Here's to a great week of practice.

RedRider1This is a must. A 6-win Division 2 team. This should be treated like week one of the playoffs.
7-3 can still get us a top 4 spot...and amazingly, 6-4 could get us in too.
Just seems like we haven't really clicked on offense since the first half of the Lex game all the way back in week 4.
Defenses are stacking the box and daring us to throw. Kyle needs to set his feet and throw it down the field.
Tired of seeing rollout throws on the run that are 5 yards underthrown. Set up and let it fly...let your guys go get it. -
OQBGreat point RedRider1...each week from here on out is a "playoff" type game.
Take it one game at a time.

THE4RINGZI like Orrville in this one. Definately beena roller coaster season for the riders. However, good teams like them now see what needs to be done to cement their legacy in the tradition rich program at OHS. Leaders step up this week and bring home a W.

GoJPM!Madison's three out of conference opponents have combined for just one win so far this season. I think if Orrville shows up and plays to their ability, they should win this one pretty easy. Madison is not going to run the table. Orrville, Ashland, and Senior, they will probably lose at least two of those games.

No, I think he's just needs Madison and Ashland to win for WH to get any points to help their playoff chances.Old Rider;929106 wrote:Still upset from the loss to Orrville Huh?
And we both could use a few Triway wins RINGZ! -

You got it! A win over Madison is a must to have a home game in round one. An Orrville win gets us to at least 4th and combined with a LaBrae loss and Northwest win could get us to 2nd next week.Riderfan;929232 wrote:As the late great Al Davis would say "Just Win Baby". -

That's why I showed those records on our thread, 7-3 has been a good enough playoff record. After that who knows, but you have to get in first and then it's who can win 5 in a row But when you get to the playoffs you no longer play DII OR DIII teams, so anything can happen.:thumbup:OQB;929717 wrote:Haha that is just crazy to think about after the weekend we just had. -

rrfanBig week for the Riders. I am sure it can't come quick enough for everybody. The team needs to work on the things they can easily fix. Stop the stupid penalties, and turnovers. The coach need to work on the offensive game plan (so that they have one). Some guys need to step up this week and get the job done.

I couldn't agree more! There is one position on this team that needs to improve and it hasn't happened yet through the first 7 weeks. I think its now or never and if it isn't good the first couple of series, its time to pull the plug and try someone new there. We need that player to improve and our offensive succes lies heavily on this position more than any other! Get better its that simple or find someone else that can do the job!!!rrfan;931110 wrote:Big week for the Riders. I am sure it can't come quick enough for everybody. Luckyone959Go Big Red. Beat Madison.

LightThe biggest thing we need to fix is our turnovers. In our 3 losses, we have had 14 turnovers! No matter how good our defense is, we cannot continue to give the ball away. Be smart, be disciplined and beat Madison!
