Well, Orrville really put it to us last night. We knew coming in that Orrville would be by far the fastest and toughest team we'll play all year, so we were not surprised at that part of the game. In just about every position I think the Riders were just bigger, faster, and stronger. Coaching can only take you so far (I think Coach Fletcher and Coach Lee prepared our defense to snuff out that one play which resulted in a pick-6). But at some point, a team as loaded as Orrville is hard to beat over 48 minutes. Look what they did to a solid Northwest team last week, putting up 40+ points and 400+ yards of offense. We knew it was going to be tough to stop all the weapons Orrville had, but we were unable to contain them all. You can't fault our kids, though. They were out there giving their all, working their tails off on both sides of the ball (just about all of them going both ways plus special teams), some to the point of heat exhaustion, cramps, and another possibly getting injured. We may have lost by a lot of points, but those kids are trying their hardest, and hopefully our coaches and players can find something to build off of from last night. We're only 2 games in the season, and we are undefeated in league play. Let's Go Titans!
Oh, and Orrville is set at running back the next few years, I'd say!
