Week 2: Orrville @ Triway

  • 1_beast
While I try to support the Riders...(I hate purple), this is the one game I do hope Triway wins...then if the Bears can notch a victory in week 3...we pick up a few harbins....Dont look at it as me being a Hater...look at it as you helping out my poor Bears..."IF" we manage a week 3 win...but right now...we have to focus on week 2

This game will not be close.

Good luck to Orrville! I hope you guys have a great rest of the season. I suspect you will do VERY well and make some noise in the playoffs! Maybe even see you guys play again in week 15!

Not nice to root for purple for a measly .45 of a point at the end of the season.

Really Indian Nation? Dont come on here now tooting our horn. Last I checked we were supposed to eat crow and lose 77-10. Better worry about your own guys with 4-5 guys with 4.5 speed. Thats a joke sir! All you did last week was talk smack I didnt forget. Worry about your team scheduling Division 5 opponents(St Thomas Aquinas) and wonder what could have been!!! Next time your AD schedules us you better make sure he has a pulse! The way better team last Friday wore red, white, and black, and barring a few turnovers, and a opening kickoff return, we could have scored 77. Now good luck est of the season but we wont bank on getting a lot of points from your squad.

Would you guys happen to be referring to this post from the NW vs Orrville last week?

""""If you are right, that will cover our two 4.4 guys...but does Orrville have another three guys with 4.6 speed or better? Because that is what they will need if they want to cover all of our guys if we spread it out."""""

I guess we found a few guys that could handle the job......
  • RedRider1
...or a NW fan who was overinflating his team. Take your pick.
  • 5knots
Or was it this post by the NW crowd you were referring to?

"""what is the riders oline looking like this year..... word of advice for week 1 be strong at center be very strong or else it could be a long night...""""

I think we found a stud sophomore who never played O-line before let alone the CENTER to handle those duties....

Wow...really...if you ever looked back at past years, I always supported your team after week 1, whether we beat you or not (Which Orrville is only up 4 to 3 in the past seven seasons, so you can get off your high horse there buddy). Orrville has a quality program, and I respect that. As for my spouting off for our week...of course I am...who wouldn't support their own team. And don't give me that crap about 77-10...that was a complete and utter joke. If you didn't see that then you need to go back to school and work on your social skills. Give me a break!

Again, good luck to Orrville the rest of the season! I hope you do well.

As for the comment about team speed, I only gave information that I was given. Congrats on having plenty of very fast guys as well.

All in fun Nation.....you didn't actually think we were going to let it slide did you? haha. At least we tried to help you out by discussing it over here on the Triway thread so you didn't get too much egg on that pretty face of yours. Good luck to NW the rest of the year. Beers and 47 are studs. I'd stack those guys behind that line and pound it it and pitch it and let the passing game feed off of teams having to respect that. Riley can throw, but when you line up in spread we know he is not a threat to run at all!!

Wow???? That's all you got this year Pit? I am so disappointed in you. I could see me and some of my bozo buddies over here thinking hard all night long and coming up with a post like that, but not you! That would be like RedRider1 saying "let's go Riders", We expect more from a Titan guru like you. don't think for a minute that will make us take you lightly. Stopped by practice yesterday........the most focus I have seen. We "Remember the Titans" and we really "Remember 2009"!!!!. Looking forward to Friday.....stop by and say Hi.

I think this is one of those years that the Titan faithful wont be sticking their necks out like the NW clan did.

We're all aware of what they lost last year. Can't replace talented senior leaders with inexperienced sophomores. Just reality..we've been there too.

That said...we need to worry about us. Execute well, cut down on the mistakes and we should be fine.

Triway has no chance in this game. ( that's a period at the end of that sentence)

Thats what the Genoa fans were telling us these last two years.. we know how that turned out!

Have to go with the Riders in this one.Could get ugly:cry:

Game preview is up....lot's of obvious stuff in this one. It is what it is.

    http://www.redridersportsblog.com/2011/08/2011-week-2-preview-orrville-red-riders.html

    CalPreps.com says 35-13 Riders.
Guessing the Daily Record picks us 8-1, or maybe a clean sweep.

Just hope we come out and cut down on the mental mistakes and turnovers. we do that, and we'll be fine.

35-13 too low. 47-6 Riders. 35-0 at the half.

We are very young as well in some spots, and anything can happen when you are young. If we continue to give the ball away we will lose. That has to stop happening.....sounds like a broken record from last year. There is no hiding the fact that we have some talented Senior leadership out there. And two years ago they had the worst night of their youthful life in the swamp. Kids forget things easier than adults...but they have not forgot that night. Oh, we remember the Titans all right. It will be all business Friday for what I hope is win #590. I expect great improvement from Triway and week one due to that youth. I expect improvement on the Rider's part as well. I think we get a couple kids back this week, one for sure will be a big contributor Friday night. Let us all pray for a healthy night of football and another great backyard rival football game.....nothing beats that!
