Fags. -
CardsFlyinHighNot surprised at all.

ts1227I think the easiest solution to this problem of people getting so sensitive is to not have an alumnus of your school repeatedly (maybe) commit armed robbery.

Please, show me where I've 'celebrated the demise of a young man'? I indeed hope its false, but if not, do I feel sorry the guy? Hell no. He's old enough to not be that stupid. My original post was directed at you for hoping they let a potentionally violent criminal go just because it gives Big Red a black eye. Thats what started this. You're crying and whining because people were making negative comments about a Big Red alum. Who's the child?
As for the rest of your post, well its just garbage, just like any other post of yours when you can't think of a reply about the discussion at hand. -

Yea, because fans have control over every person that has ever graduated from their high school. -

If fans want to bask in the reflected glory of the accomplishments of others (and do more than a little bragging about it), it doesn't seem unfair that they have to eat a little crap when things go the other direction. -

Yea, maybe if he did this WHILE playing...or even in high school...or even in Steubenviile...or even in the state of Ohio.queencitybuckeye;831574 wrote:If fans want to bask in the reflected glory of the accomplishments of others (and do more than a little bragging about it), it doesn't seem unfair that they have to eat a little crap when things go the other direction.
People are bashing Big Red like somehow they are responsible for the actions of a grown man.
I don't remember anyone bashing Benedictine when the Ray Williams fiasco went down...and he and the others were IN high school when that happened. Hmmm, wonder why? -

Then you have a bad memory.
And have you completely forgot about Mooney getting bashed for the Koulianos drug thing? Give me a break dude. -
ManO'WarI don't even know who Koulianos is, or was.
And nobody blamed Benedictine, in fact people were actually defending them for taking in all of the "poor inner city athletes" and giving them a chance...."rescuing" them from those terrible Cleveland Public Schools. -
ManO'WarI wonder if people blamed Galileo High School for OJ Simpson murdering people?
-
BigDean1This has nothing to do with Steubenville High School, which is a good school with great football history. The young man made these decisions on his own. He now has to pay for his mistakes.

No, but they often referred to him as the "former USC star running back." Which is basically what people are doing now. Quit being so thin skinned over it. Someone who graduated from your school messed up big time. Suck it up, admit the kid is a thug, and move on. Crying on here is only going to make people want to make fun of Steubenville more for this. -
ManO'WarWasn't he "former NFL running back"? Most people don't even know where he went to college if it wasn't printed somewhere.

No...it was "former USC star" because they kept talking about his Heisman. If someone doesnt know where OJ Simpson went to college, they're retarded. -

People just like to trash our town and school and everybody in it .
Our town certainly has had its problems and still does ,and in my book its ok if a local residents say negitive things .
I get pretty deffensive when an outsider starts ripping . I also see some people on here who I think have never been to our city rip us pretty good.
The Branko thing is upsetting and I hate to see any young life ruined . i see alot of people on here that are enjoying the issue . Let them have there fun . We are still the Big Red and no one person is above our program . no one person defines our school or town . if they want to throw names up and dead peoples names and past criminals,we can do the same on a positive level . our town is not big, yet it is as well known as some of the biggest towns in ohio from coast to coast . some of it positive and some of it negitive ,but its our town and we love it and our Big Red and nothing any of these people can say will do anything to shame us . We are proud . Now on with football! -

Ill bet there are alot of non sports minded people who dont know where OJ Simpson went . Not everybody is a college football fan . -

Then your memory is extremely faulty.
