SOS must of gave a H-E double hockey sticks of a pep talk! Let's Go Creek!I Am Ahab;920347 wrote:Eh, I see the same result as '09 when MF went up there in what was supposed to be a big game. If I'm not mistaken it was the game that Sam petitioned to be moved to Saturday night bc him n his IC faithful wanted to go over to the Ville and watch a real football game with some real implications when the Red took on Massilon.
Ferry stung Creek. I remember leaving earlier and wishing I could get a refund as it was certainly not the game it was hyped up to be. IC crapped down their leg as soon as they saw Ferry walk onto that field. I'm offFriday and thinking about going up to see this one. I hope im not regretting it. Hope Creek mans up this time around. Maybe they need SOS to give em a pre game speech of something.

Change it Ahab... Become a believer. Sorry I am such a homer, but I LOVE this team and they are good... Creek Physically SMACKED Ferry tonight. I don't ask you to back us, I just ask you to respect.I Am Ahab;924412 wrote:^^^ sounds like someone wants to make an avatar wager...MF wins you rock a SHS avatar until the state finals are over and if IC wins then your choice, boi.

I Am AhabLooks like you shouldve accepted the bet Samantha. But either way I eat my words. Big win for IC. Ill give them props for improving, tremendously, and surprising me. But I wouldn't goes as far as to say I respect IC. Win a playoff game and I will. Pretty much every team in this valley has won a postseason game in the last decade. Except?
Do that and ppl will respect you. Until then I think ppl will discount IC and won't take them seriously. -

One step at a time... I didn't see the post about the bet before the game or I would have surely taken you up on it. I'm not worried about the playoffs just yet... 3 more games to go and they are all "trap" games if we don't play 100%. I want a playoff win as bad as anyone else at Creek, but for right now all I wanna do is go 1-0 this week against Harrison Central.I Am Ahab;926476 wrote:Looks like you shouldve accepted the bet Samantha. I Am AhabAnd this may be the yr that they do so. Just don't let it slip away bc if they do, no one is going to remember that you beat MF on some random Wk 6 Gm. And that's just the way it is. I know it's a big win and IC nation is pumped but as an outsider it's not that big of a deal compared to what schools like Shadyside, CCHS, MF, SHS, Bellaire, etc have done in recent years.
Congrats on the win but the team will have to take advantage of this opportunity to get respect from ppl. No one remembers IC having one good season in the late 90s and losing a playoff game it's irrelevant. Make some noise in the postseason and ppl will. Look at a team like Marlington. They were a Who? Team and then they played a good Gm in wk 11 at Harding Stadium and created a buzz for themselves. -

I know what you are saying, and I am still not sold on Marlington. lol But like I said before, we HAVE to win out before we even think about the playoffs. You said no one remembers the teams from the 90's... I do, I was part of it I will say this though, This Creek team has the best chance to get some respect and if you have been to any of the games including the losses to Linsly and StC, you would be able to see that they are earning it. The one thing that bothers me is that we STILL haven't played our best ball yet... IF we get to week 11, hopefully we are firing on all cylinders cause we will need it.I Am Ahab;926486 wrote:And this may be the yr that they do so. MANAZECreek has to win out and get some help. The new rankings haven't been released yet but last week we were #15. Hopefully the win last Friday night will get us some more points and move us up.

Its looking more and more like win and we are in. We should have enough points to qualify if we win out and not need any help. However, if the stars align right (and its not a far cry) Creek could get as high as #6 in the rankings. Currently we sit in the #9 spot.MANAZE;929948 wrote:Creek has to win out and get some help. CthelitesCreek wins and goes to 6-2.
Any details????
Can they win out and make the layoffs? -

The field at Harrison was terrible. HC was very surprising though. They were a big tough and pretty physical team. Creek scored first, missed the 2pt conversion. HC scored after driving the field and went up 7-6. IC drive failed and HC threw a long TD pass to go up 14-6. With about 1:30 left to go in the half, Ludewig busted off a 60 yard run for a TD. Score was 14-12 HC at the half.Cthelites;934048 wrote:Creek wins and goes to 6-2.

Creek came out in the 2nd half, drove the field and kicked a FG to go up 15-14. HC was stopped on downs and IC scored on a TD pass to Alex Young. IC lead 22-14. Harrison drove late in the game for a TD by Hython. 2pt conversion was snuffed. Creek was up 22-20 with just under 3 minutes to go.. The O-line stepped up and we moved the ball and ran out the clock. It was an ugly win, but a win is a win.
Both teams were slipping everywhere and it was a sloppy but hard nosed game.
Right now Creek sits in the #8 spot in the standings... -
reddevil90Congrats to Creek. Celebrate till tomorrow and forget cause there are two more games. win them both and Creek should gain a playoff birth.. Good luck team Im proud to be a creek parent.
