Some impressive stats! Smithies probably should reconsider this game....bow out and let Hillsdale be Lambs to the slaughter!buckeye05;954366 wrote:Wynford has some pretty nice skill players, there QB is 6-3 220 runs about a 4.6 benches 320 squats 400 has a descent arm and deadly accuracy, there FB is 5-11 200 4.8 speed benches 315 squats 360, TB 6 ft 180 4.6 speed, TE 6-5 220 4.7 speed, WR 6-3 210 4.7 speed WR 5-10 170 4.5 speed. Attention Smithies......Don't even bother making the trip out to Wynford. They are simply too big and too fast to play. -
Mr Miyagi
nope ...they beat Rittman next year.........thedemoralizer7;954379 wrote:wow, chipps in 6th place? i think they have a permanent spot in last for awhile. -

Yes, apparently they have a WR as fast as many RBs leaving college and entering the NFL draft. :rolleyes:OQB;954380 wrote:Attention Smithies......Don't even bother making the trip out to Wynford. They are simply too big and too fast to play. -

If anyone watched the game on STO, that 6'5" kid does NOT run a 4.7... maybe a 4.9-5.0buckeye05;954366 wrote:Wynford has some pretty nice skill players, there QB is 6-3 220 runs about a 4.6 benches 320 squats 400 has a descent arm and deadly accuracy, there FB is 5-11 200 4.8 speed benches 315 squats 360, TB 6 ft 180 4.6 speed, TE 6-5 220 4.7 speed, WR 6-3 210 4.7 speed WR 5-10 170 4.5 speed. OQBIF and that is a big IF they are that big and fast.....this game should remind everyone of the game the Smithies played St. Peter Chanel.

oldsmithieSmithville will match up very nicely on the offensive and defensive lines. You can see video of Wynford on youtube. Wynfords line seems a little slow. This is going to be a very good game!

1486wdred rum, its pretty hard for me to pick a favorite in this game as I haven't seen wynford this yr. I would expect them to be similar to last yr as i believe they had a lot of jr's last yr. I do think the smithie offense will give them a slight advantage (like the dalton option last yr) as it's not something they have seen, I do think the smithies will need to be ready in the secondary as the royals do air it out a little - i remember that rall kid being pretty tough. I'm going to give a slight nod to the smithies, but that's really just a guess. Dalton and wynford played pretty straight up last yr, but the bulldogs won the turnover battle and therefore the game

Red RumWhoa, a Machiavelli conversation at 11pm on the WCAL thread. I'm surprised bobcatmom didn't weigh in on that. Anyway, Niccolo was a treacherous dude. Brilliant but treacherous. My personal favorite Machiavelli quote-
"The promise given was a necessity of the past, the word broken is a necessity of the present"
No wonder this guy was given the moniker "the father of modern political theory".
On the Smithville/Wynford game-
This should be a great game. I believe the Royals have some excellent skill players, not so sure about some of buck05s stats though. Turnovers, as always, will be a key to victory. Overall, I'm giving a slight advantage to Wynford because they are playing at home.
That being said, I'm a WCAL fan.......Go Smithies!!!
On Norwayne/Brookfield-
Cloverleaf will definitely be an upgrade on playing surface and should benefit the Bobcats. I don't know jack about Brookfield, but lets hope it doesn't benefit them as much. An easier drive is already more of a present for Brookfield than I would want if I was the Bobcat AD. Go Cats!
Miyagi-
You're right...Beast is Paul
OTrap-
In all fairness.....fairness is overrated, 4Loopholes deserves his new name. Plus it's mildly enjoyable watching him keep writing things like "scroll back" and "you guys can't read". If you truly understand Machiavelli, the fact he's defending it shows inherent weakness, thus drawing aggression. -
THE4RINGZMore of a student of Carl von Clausewitz, "war is thus an act of force to comple our enemy to do our will." I even referenced his book last night on this very thread. I am really disappointed tht you didn't pay more attention in Yombi's class.
Smithville can hang with Wynford, I believe the size of the o line from Smithville is something new to Wynford, and I am sure they will have a gameplan ready to deal with it. If Smithville comes out and plays keep away football, no problems. -
Mr Miyagi"Everything in war is very simple. But the simplest thing is difficult " Clausewitz

Mr MiyagiMiyagi is student of Confucius

1_beastThe intellect of late is almost overwhelming...Loopholes bringing up Carl von Clausewitz in the midst of conversation involving Nicco Machiavelli....may have thrown some for a "Loop".....but I guess if you are going to talk Machiavelli and Clausewitz....its only fitting to involve the TRUE GRANDFATHER of War....Sun Tzu, If you read "The Art of War" and grasp the philosophy , it will give you a much better understanding of Machiavelli and Clausewitz.
Smithies hang around with Wynford and keep it close...then bust out a big play to stick a dagger in them.

Schrock KNOWS...but Im thinking Wynford has NOT dealt with the Wing T this year.....
Norwayne gets and edge on turf. As goes the run goes Brookfield. Shut down the run...win the game.

wclfalconIt is hard to see it end Go Falcons. And you get very spoiled with being in the playoffs and especially with the run we had last year. Thought we could make a similar run this year but you have to get in and we have found out that is not a given.
I think Smithville will beat Wynford but it will be close. -

I actually did, he always had this sign on the wall that said "Life isn't always fair" and would gleefully point to it whenever someone played the "that's not fair" card.
good teacher, one of the few that actually taught life lessons.
and he predicted Mike Tyson would be champion almost a year before he won the title.
Miyagi- great story on Lil Miyagi. As I recall many rules were created in his honor...at many places. I must admit you excelled at raising nonconformists. -
