You couldn't say anything negative about them over there, and you know it. People had there posts deleted, edited, or were giving infractions for doing it. Don't act like it's not the truth.
There you go, being a jackass again. I'm shocked. IF I HATED BIG RED, I WOULD SAY I HATED BIG RED. I don't make it a secret of the schools I dislike. Why the hell would I be afraid to say that I don't like Stuebenville? Damn you can be such an idiot sometimes. Just because I agree with someone that obviously hates Big Red, doesn't mean I hate Stuebenville. Smh. You have the most effed up logic I've ever seen. I've agreed with Big Red fans before, does that mean, at that current time, I'm "Pro" Steubenville?

Shall I read back the transcript? Do we have to go all the way back ? do we need a jury of un biased peers? -

If that schedule is indeed true, and the teams currently on it is a done deal, then does that mean Reno is going back on his word about not having such a grinder of a schedule?war_admiral;639779 wrote:Seen this on the Red Room white board.....
The HHS Football Team has 19 state championships, tied for the most in the state of Kentucky. Champion years are: 2009, 2008, 2007, 2004, 2000, 1999, 1998, 1996, 1992, 1989, 1982, 1981, 1977, 1975, 1970, 1968, 1964, 1961, and 1960 -

Stop it...DeSales beat HHS like a pinata the two times they played recently. The only way this is a game is if Steuby hops a bus to Ft. Thomas. I think we all know the odds of that happening.Bigred1995;652340 wrote:If that schedule is indeed true, and the teams currently on it is a done deal, then does that mean Reno is going back on his word about not having such a grinder of a schedule? -
Mortgagestar1St.Iggy has an opening the first week. Reno said years ago that would be a good mathup for Steubenville. Well?

First of all, what do you consider "recently" because in terms of being a dominate team, I wouldn't consider 2006 as being recent, I'd also wouldn't consider a score of 25-30 to be a beating like a "piñata"fish82;652637 wrote:Stop it...DeSales beat HHS like a pinata the two times they played recently. What I would consider recent would be their 4 State Championships in the last 4 years, with a record of 58 & 2. In that span they beat Withrow (Cincinnati, OH), twice; St. Xavier, and Trotwood Madison.
So because DeSales beat this team back in 06 means they wouldn't be a game in 11; regardless of the fact they beat St. X in 09?
Based on your faulty logic, Big Red shouldn't bother scheduling teams like
Buchtel 22 - 6
Ursuline 36-14
St. Vincent-St. Mary 41 - 14
Canton Central Catholic 33 - 0
Because back in 2006 Big Red beat those teams like a piñata! -

Why don't you just post the play book also? post some more phone numbers and email addresses while you are at it!
I understand you getting a little mad ,but I dont think any harm is done ... Ill bet Reno would have all of us stop talking about anything .... I must confess I probably add too much fuel to the fires ,which I think I will try to curb in the future. -

Withrow? Really? Please tell me you aren't serious.Bigred1995;655271 wrote:First of all, what do you consider "recently" because in terms of being a dominate team, I wouldn't consider 2006 as being recent, I'd also wouldn't consider a score of 25-30 to be a beating like a "piñata"

Their arguably best team ever beat an average at best X team...and you really want to hump that? Knock yerself out. Do you wanna take a stab at their all-time record against Ohio teams?
It's a fun matchup, and their kids will get a kick out of playing at Harding. (I'm going out on a limb and assuming you're not coming to NKY) But they're no better than the usual OOS cupcakes you guys play. I've been watching them for 15+ years...there's a chance I might know a thing or two about them.
But hey, congrats for adding them to your devastating "meat grinder" schedule. I'll just sit here and chuckle. -

Do you and your grandma beat off a lot of teams?!? Be careful before you go blind! -

Ouch...please stop...I beg you.
Shouldn't you be embracing something or counting votes or doing whatever it is you do? -

Please stop trying to embrace me. It is creepy. -
Mortgagestar1The goal is the playoffs. it doesn't matter if a team backs in or play a killer schedule. chances are in a killer schedule, you will be a walking dead limping into the playoffs unless you are three deep in positions. We will NEVER EVER see the type of schedule we had prior to the 1980's. We were glad to go 7 - 3 in those days and we were Div 1. Times have changed & it looks like the OHSAA pland to take major steps to solidify a more parity type of playoff system. Only time will tell. RRR

That is one hell of a schedule... Possibly too tough, imo, for what we have returning. I hope I'm wrong, though.
On an unrelated note, it amazes me (not really) how a thread made to promote discussion of our schedule this season is filled with the same argumentative BS that plagues us on every topic. Honestly... What a bunch of losers.
I'm looking at you, rmolin.
Highlands is no joke. In Class 5-A in KY, they went 14-1 and won a state title in 2008. Their only loss was a close battle with Colerain. In 2009, they went 15-0 and won a state title, beating Cincinnati St. Xavier, Withrow along the way. In 2010, they went 14-1 again with another state title and they beat a good Withrow team along the way.
Did I also mention they went 15-0 in 2007 with a win over Trotwood Madison along the way?
So, yeah... 58-2 in the last four years with four state titles. -

What are you talking about? They beat St. Xavier the last time they played, Cinci Withrow the last two times they have played (including one at Withrow) and Trotwood-Madison in Cincinnati the last time they played. Highlands has acquitted themselves quite well against Ohio powers on the road recently.
How can you possibly spin a team that has done all of that as a sort of creampuff for Big Red? The last time they played DeSales was 2005 and Highlands lost four games that year (including a couple to KY teams). Obviously, they have been a different animal in the last four seasons. Are you really going to go back five seasons to find a bad loss to an Ohio team and ignore all of the big wins they have had against some of the best Ohio powers in the intervening years?
Side-note: We pounded that DeSales team in the 2005 state final. I guess by your rationale, they aren't worth playing, either. -

In actuality if you take for instance the 1977 schedule and played it in place of the 2010 schedule the 2010 schedule would be tougher IMO.... just saying .. As we have changed so have the teams of our past have changed ..Big Red is not as big as we once were but we are a far better program than we ever were . In the 60s we had some great teams that underachieved ,but those days were a different animal all together and so is the style of football... public schools usd t be able to openly recruit without repercussion all the time but not these days .....Its apples and oranges .... People rip our schedule all the time but it is a very good one year in and year out .. I remember the days of 2-7-1 and 2-8 and records like that ... We just wernt that good period .. it wasnt the schedule because Reno's boys would have tore through those teams like a hot knife through butter more than not -

Why are you playing games I saw what you posted on Indian Creek thread... You slammed Big Red as pilfering all the local schools and you come on here like you are an alum and RRR ... Whats the deal ... what kind of games are you playing?
