Indian Creek 2011

    "Your kids"

You and your school district don't OWN any kids. Their parents DO, and THEY make the decisions as to where they attend school...just as YOUR parents took you out of Catholic Central and put you into Indian Creek.

    Hypocrite.
  • icredskins
Let's set the record straight. The QB never set one foot into Catholic Central. He, just like his 2 older brothers, went to catholic grade school and attended Indian Creek High School. His oldest brother did attend CCHS for 2 years before transferring. I'm sure there are many kids that went to catholic grade school and now attend Big Red. Does that mean they came from Central?? This kid is a Redskin through and through.

According to Son Of Sam's logic they do.

That's what he always spouts off about.

The vast majority of Big Red's OE players come either in Harding or before their Freshmen year, but that doesn't stop the peanut gallery from making statements that are idiotic.
  • ManO'War
And to be technical, since Central's junior high is in their high school, then he did step foot in there.
  • icredskins
Well to actually be technical, when he attended junior high, he was at Holy Rosary, not the high school, so he did not step foot in there. The junior high moved to the high school his freshman year at Creek.

LMFAO oh boy, what fun this is going to be.

See we could care less where the kid goes. Funny how people say that he decided to go to creek because the QB position was filled at CCHS. But everyone of our OE student/athletes were recruited. YOUR DAMN RIGHT WE RECRUITED THEM......by winning before OE. By OWNING the local football teams on the field. By building multipurpose athletic facilities, new weight room, new middle school and elementary schools, By remodeling Steubenville High school and bringing it into the 21st Century. By operating Steubenville City Schools in the black rather then the red, like most of the surrounding school systems. By filling for grant money and actually using the money. By being ranked among most efficient in the state of Ohio. By back-back Academic Excellence grade by the state and fighting to enroll every OE student available.

SOG how's that propaganda for ya.

    RRR
  • ManO'War
That took place in 2008, so unless he is a senior this year, which I do not know, then he was in CCHS.

The problem is not with OE, it's when coaches, alumni, and boosters actively try to get kids to attend Big Red. One's that talk to the parents, grandparents, aunts and uncles and try to sway them to send their kid to Big Red. Telling them that their kid will do this and that. I know of a case where a coach took a kid down and showed him the weight room and other facilities and said, "wouldn't it be nice to be able to work out in here?". What kid would say no?? Big Red does have terrific facilities, but to take a kid on a tour and ask him that...that's recruiting. That is what people have a problem with. BTW, this kid was in 6th grade at the time and is now at Harding.

The junior high moved to the high school in 2009, not 2008. If you want, I can get the principal of the junior high to verify this, but she's busy attending her son's wedding today so I won't.
  • MANAZE
Skins when I was at Creek, they brought in Big Red players and showed them the weight room and was doing the same thing.

If a prospective student and their parents show up at the high school there is nothing illegal about giving them a tour.

And there also is nothing against alumni and boosters talking to anyone...that's freedom of speech.

If you have something on the coaches, then go to the OHSAA.

You are correct it was the Fall of 2008, which would have been his freshman year at Creek, Fall 2009 his sophomore, Fall 2010 his junior and this fall will begin his senior year. So he never attended any classes at the high school, as I said. Sorry for the confusion on the year.

I won't go to OSHAA because I really don't care. It's the parents prerogative to send their kids where they think is best. It's the 'we are Big Red and we are the best' that I can't stand. I'm happy your school is successful, but the arrogant, cocky fans make me wanna puke.

"Funny how people say that he decided to go to creek because the QB position was filled at CCHS. "

Who's saying that?? Why would a kid transfer to Creek so that he could be the Quarterback for just his senior year?? He would have been the starter at Central last year. The only reason he and his brothers went to Creek is because of Gregg Bahen. He shoved the oldest son over top of a desk with enough force to bend the desk. It's that simple why he is there. There was no, "he'll be the starter if he come here" or any other promises. Gregg Bahen abused his brother and his parents didn't want the other brothers around him.

Ummm, no. Not even close to being anything worth getting a warning for. You just keep posting and don't worry about anyone else. If it was worth a warning, he would have received one.

Please go to a Big Red thread...you know how this is always going to end, but you cannot help yourself at every turn to chest beat right? Once again this is a Indian Creek 2011 thread...for all who keep bringing up that school down by the River...please stop!!!!!...it only brings their "MUPPET" fanbase onto a ICHS thread to cast insults at you...thats what they do best down their.....so either ignore them or just don't mention "the school down by the river", and maybe for once we can have a decent ICHS Football thread.

You ought to be glad your thread is getting notice from other people or it would only be you SOS and ICskins and Manaze on here ..I think it would get boring very quick ..Get on the guy from Campbell also because he is spewing rhetoric not pertaining to Creek .. Dont be a selective complainer

Its funny to me when I hear people talk about kids going to different schools that are not from there own distrcts ... If a kid goes to Steubenville from an outlying district ,he is called a recruit. At all the other local schools the kid is called a transfer ..When I played we didnt have anybody from other schools and we won the state but Ill be glad if more and more students transfer to Steubenville .. I want em all .. I want as many kids from Mingo and Wintersville and 213 area to come to the ville .. If you are an IC guy you would gladly with open arms take any kid from Steubenville and your district does .I had neighbors that sent there kids to Creek schools .. Lets not be disengenuous

That was posted by one of your fans on the OVathletics site.
