SquirmydogDrag. Is the contract signed?
-
bloozebrothernow that the schedule is final, looks like we have our work cut out for us again. all but two teams were playoff teams last year or are figuring to be playoff contenders 2010. with the addition of harrison central, who have several athletes returning, should really be a challenge. any harrison central chatters out there to give us some insight?
-
bridgeport2001Very nice schedule , hope the TIGERS have a good year. Except 4 week 9 i will be pulling 4 them.
-
bloozebrothercome on port, where is your sense of adventure?
-
bloozebrotherworking on preseason scrimmages now. union local and indian creek return and the last i talked to AD working on game with bellaire for jamboree game. definetly would be a money maker.
-
herdyaIf Shadyside plays up to their potential they will have a very good year and will have a say in who wins Region 23.
-
bloozebrotherJamboree game with bellaire fell through. coach davis wants no part of it. as of last i heard the last scrimmage game will either be martins ferry or a triangular with river and bishop donahue. AD said preseason is configured by the head coach. stay tuned.

bloozebrotherwas in the weight room monday evening. all was there were linemen, juniors and seniors to be. i realize that most backs and receivers are playing other sports but i think the sophs and frosh to be should be hittin' em also. hopefully this won't be detrimental.

SquirmydogDo you have a middle school program? I have found that the weightroom culture is instilled before the kids get to high school. We have been blessed with an outstanding ms coach who works the boys 2x per week during the offseason. Once they get to high school, they just understand that going to workout is part of their day. Now that we have a dedicated strength/conditioning coach, the guys are getting stronger, but like your guys, mostly linemen and non-spring sport kids are staying the whole time. The track team stays for core lifts and bail early for their practice. Do you have weight room captains that keep the kids accountable?
-
bloozebrotherno middle school program and really no jr high program either. pretty much open weightroom for those kids. our phys ed teacher has weights three nights a week and agility drills the other two during evenings. the part that has me scratching my head is where are the underclassmen? since we are loaded wth uperclassmen i'm wondering if they think they'll not see any PT then why bother.
-
bloozebrothermartins ferry is to be our jamboree game. good preseason test. as soon as i find out dates and times of all preseason games i'll post.
-

bloozebrotherthanks for prayers. hes out of hospital but some damage remains. he has several blind spots in his eye. all-in-all could have been worse. should have watched christmas story and learned about the infamous red rider.

bloozebrothervisited weightroom wednesday night. looks like its paying off. silverio(ol-dl) 6'1" 255, marling(fb-lb) 6'0" 235, duncan(ol-dl) 6'1" 215, sedinger(rb-de) 5'10" 190, coen(ol-dl) 6'3" 280, t. brown(wr-de) 6'2" 195, l. hudson(te-lb) 6'2" 200, mcpherson(ol-dl) 5'10" 220 to name a few. seniors taking control of weightroom which is a good thing. also duda(wr-db) 5'9" 170 opening eyes at wr with his speed. e. brown(wr,qb-s) 5'11" 160 also hitting weights. if he is plays qb this season this also could pay off. also got word that there are three seniors to be signed up to play that havn't played for a couple of seasons for various reasons. dont know if they will help or not.
