The parochial schools made their own beds by recruiting, now its time to lie in them, look for more of a seperation to take place.

It ain't happening? Oh, my friend....It IS happening. (I actually know that you think I mean "seperation" in the playoffs), so I'll somehow try to explain this in really easy terms.

Look for more....you still with me? Look for more public schools....Hey, pay attention, that butterfly will still be there when I'm done. Look for more public schools to start not scheduling parochials. Kind of like a strike if you will. Oh, and it IS happening.

    Hey genius

I hate to surprise you and your constant state of denial, but this has been going on for quite a while.

Luckily, you can't hide come playoff time

We'll line up against absolutely anybody. If you decide to go to Mooney, you know the challenge going in

    You can't say that anymore

Good luck against Stow and the Canadians. And remember, you eventually play to the level of your competition

Unless they're little podunk private schools from Delaware that you know you can beat, right?

GMC and GWOC schools have been scheduling the GCL at the beginning of the season for years now. Maybe there's just something in the water in Stark county causing testicular shrinkage? I'd have the EPA check into that.

My gosh, seriously dude, I can't type any slower for ya. Publics....are....going....to....quit....scheduling....privates....in....the....regular....season. the trend has started.

Blue=You can do that when you're getting boys from alot of different communities & backrounds.
Green=How do you know going in? Do they explain it to you during the recruiting process?
Red=Or at least recruit better than them....And....allegedly....hand out pez dispensers filled with roids.

Actually Maumee won there 1st round playoff game last year. The team was young starting only 5 seniors on o and 3 on d. I expect them to atleast make it to the regional semis again this year. Possibly one of the best throwing/running qbs in the state starting for them (only 5'11 though). Week 3 should be interesting...

...Well it's a done deal, per their web site Canton McKinley & Cardinal Mooney will play each other in wk 1 of the 2011 season, so it would appear that the Bulldogs will play anyone, anywhere at anytime. (seems like I've heard this before from somewhere....just can't put my finger on who said it....mmmmph)

It's a trend, just because McKinley scheduled Mooney doesn't mean it's not happening, some schools would rather have a full schedule, (money purposes) than play just nine games, and there's nothing wrong with it. I believe McKinley can compete a little better with the parochials because of their larger enrollment. I guess we'll just see, after the Austintownstruthersboardmancampbell Cardinals beat McKinley.

Look back at our past schedules from the recently completed decade.

    Ignatius
    Warren
    McKinley
    St. Edward
    Benedictine
    Chaminade Julienne

    ...(Austintownstruthersboardmancampbell)...funny (inaccurate) but funny!

Kids that live in Austintown and attend one of I think 3 parochial grade schools still open North of the Mahoning River go to UHS-
Struthers kids go to Struthers--no ifs ands or butts. & Campbell kids are the same as the Austintown kids but there are no longer any parochial feeder schools in Campbell as Holy Trinity has closed there.
Kids from St Charles & St. Lukes attend either BHS or Mooney depending on their religious beliefs for (4) more years of Catholic educatio or they choose a good school system in Boardman because they either can't afford the $ 6000.00 it cost to go to Mooney or are unwilling to do so.

I know most schools (don't do it) but Mooney puts in their football programs that are sold b/4 each home game the feeder school that the players and cheerleaders attended prior to going to CMHS.

Given the fact the the only feeder parochial schools still open on the south side of Mahoning Valley (St. Luke & St Charles in Boardman and Holy Family in Poland) about 1/2 to 3/4 of those kids attend Mooney and the rest go to the public schools that I and others like me fund with our tax dollars.
