Steubenville Big Red 2011

    Reload

Big Red loses alot of seniors for next year, but they will reload and be very competitive in 2011. They lose most of their line and quarterback. Running backs return next year, Junior quarterback with little experience comes back next year. Hes probably bit of a better passer but not as mobile. Alot of the spread Big Red runs depends on movement of quarterback so this will be interesting to see how it plays out. Defensively you lose majority of key components but there are guys waiting in line to fill spots. Big Red will probably be starting on next year this week and you will be hard to find more dedicated staff and players.

Who the heck said that?? Its not true.............I see a coaching switch for next year at Big Red. wait and see!

Ya, I'm sure that they bestowed a Law Degree on you when you received
    that fine Massollin Washington diploma

    2 questions for you skanky

    1) Why don't you ever bring up all of the transfers, especially from your neighboring schools, that just happen to walk up to the front door at good old Massollin Washington HS

    2) Do you know what the definition of the word "hypocrite" is?

You don't have to state the obvious, everyone knows you're no match for me.

As far as equiptment turn in, I don't know how it went, but if it would make you feel better to have a bunch of teenage boys so upset at their HS career ending that they would cry....I'll feed the machine....Yeah, they cried.

For example, a "hater" would be one who blindly accuses Catholic schools of recruiting without any proof...simply because they are jealous of programs that win. That, IMO, is the definition of a "hater."

Blindly? Blindly? You can't be serious....Can you? Blindly? I mean....we talkin bout blindly? Blindly?

It's pretty sad that despite Capone being in this thread, you seem to have the dumbest posts.

You really aren't good at understanding things are you? As I have said before, it's the limits the OHSAA allows the Paroch's to reach to get these kids.

Which OHSAA rules gives a private school any advantage over an open enrollment school?
  • skank
Let the stark county publics hold a combine for incoming freshmen, with our coaches not only taking part, but also writing down every move each kid makes and using it later. Anyone bother to archive the PD article about a year and a half ago?

Quite the opposite. As long as the athlete has not changed addresses. If an athlete transfers from a private school to a public school, they are not required to sit a year. If an athlete transfers from a public school to a private school, the athlete must sit 1 year.

Yeah, and we see so many high profile athletes transfer from private to public. Off the top of my head, Troy Smith.

Alright fellas, this thread is about Big Red in 2011. Let's make it about that from here on out. There is already a couple threads on this whole private/public thing. Take it there if you want to discuss it any further.

    Speaking of Barney Fife. haha

What's that? You need help signing in cause you're too stupid to figure it out? No thanks. Not my problem. Maybe make a thread about it? Or you could just make a new user name. This is the Big Red thread. Not the place for those kind of questions. Move along kiddo.

By the way, your wit is truly amazing!!!! *sarcasm*

I would like to predict what I think our schedule will look like next year. I may not be entirely correct, but this is based on information I picked up over the past few months. We will see how close I come.

Week 1: We will not play Buchtel because they are scheduled to play Massillon. But we will play an Ohio team that is willing to come to Steubenville every year.

Week 2: We have been invited to play Gateway at Heinz Field. I see no reason why we won't accept.

Week 3: We have a contract to play at Brooke. I know Reno was pissed off after our game this year, but I don't think the school will break the contract.

Week 4 or week 6: Rally in Death Valley against an out-of-town opponent. I don't think the Rally will be held week 5 as it was this year because we have a contract to play Morgantown that week, and I am sure we will want to play a better opponent in the Rally the second time around.

Week 5: As I said, home against Morgantown.

Week 4 or week 6: Buffalo St. Joe's. If they haven't dropped us by now, they aren't going to. They get a nice trip fully paid for and receive a stipend to boot. They are a Div. I team that provides us some computer points, so I don't think Big Red is anxious to get rid of them.

Week 7: Home against Massillon. This appears on all of Massillon's websites.

Week 8: I assume we have a contract to play at YSU against Ursuline.

Week 9: Home against Inkster. They want to play us again but not week 1. They want to play us late in the year, but it can't be week 10 because the Michigan teams are already in the playoffs.

Week 10: Home against O'Hara. Our contract is up with them, but I believe they will renew it.

These are my predictions. May the debate begin!

Why should an Ohio team have to come to Steubenville every year ?
