Beast I played on that team, have some from memories from that night lol

None of that shock and awe stuff from me... Red Reign, I do have a question for you... I heard that you guys lined up and spit in our endzone?! I doubt it's true, but I've heard it since that game. I hope our team shows up better prepared for this game... haha.
  • RedReign04
Just saw that on JJ's Beast and I have no idea where that's coming from. I can assure you that we never lined up and spit in your endzone, that's not our style and Coach Culver would have killed all of us.
  • RedReign04
Got a question for Salem, did you guys take time out of practice to teach #52 and #65 how to throw punches....real classy!

I've been hearin bout that... Our freshman team had to deal with that type of stuff this year against new phila. Classless!

I did not play that year, but graduated with that class and some of my best friends were stars on that Dover team and they admitted to being afraid of you guys. They said you all were nasty! Not the bad nasty, the good fearless nasty! I couldn't believe they said that, but you guys came into our house and made it your home.

Beast I will say coming from the "sticks" of Perry County and walking into your stadium was kind of a culture shock, the giant blow up Dover helmet was impressive. That's just how it is down here, often times we don't have the "best" athletes on the field but we make up for it with our relentless nastiness lol.

Can't wait until Saturday! Should be a good one! Good luck!

That was impressive last night for Sheridan. Great rushning attack with four different guys who all do different things well and then when needed, the passing game is a good compliment. Sheridan can go a long way this year. Best of luck. Please don't judge the Salem team from the actions of 65. That was not indicitive of the coaches or the rest of the players and I know that was dealt with after the game.

I would like to hear from the quaker fans. What do you think of the Children From the Corn now. By the way reserve players scored three touchdowns for Sheridan last night.
  • GoPens
Congrats to Sheridan. Definately some big boys and it was a well deserved win. You'll give Dover and the rest of the region a run. The success of your program thoughout the years is a testiment to your district. As far as the Salem player involved at the end, yes, wrong and classless, first to admit that, but "classlessness" ran on both sides. As the Salem players were entering the locker room some Sheridan "adults" ran their mouths trying to pick a fight with some of the team. Hope those "adults" are happy talking trash to high school kids who just lost a playoff game. Frankly they're lucky some Salem football players held back from sending those loud mouths to the hospital. Sorry, I hate to bring up "yea but your side did it too" argument, but that pissed me off so bad last night and couldn't believe what I was seeing and had to get that off my chest.

Go Pens, I hate that some of our fans did that to your players. That was classless. Our fans with class were watching our seniors take their senior walk at the time your players went to their locker room. That is not a representation of our fans as a whole. I want to compliment your players for taking things in their own hands with #65. That tells me a lot about your players and program. They played with a lot of class.

I agree gametime...sadly GoPens (really, support the BlueJackets!) there are idiots everywhere, I also thought it was great how fellow Salem players dealt with the matter immediately. Salem Quakers good luck in the future you really have your program building in the right direction, 2 years straight to the playoffs is an accomplishment.

A couple of bad apples won't tarnish the overall great experience from the hospitible Sheridan fans. Had a conversation with several of them and they were very friendly, much like I hope the actions of one player won't tarnish you view of Salem.

Strongbad--Sorry, I'll cheer on the Jackets, except when they play the Pens! Haven't made it to Nationwide yet to see a Jackets game--have to make that trip sometime.

I really would like to hear from the Quaker faithful who posted on this thread all of last week to hear their thoughts.

Sheridan has a real nice team: big, strong, athletic kids who are obviously extremely well-coached. We knew we had to play near-perfect to win and we just did not do that at all. Nice crowd despite the cold temp's ... just wish we would have played a little better. I think whoever wins the Sheridan/Dover game will win the region. How many does the stadium in Zanesville hold?

By the way ...... we took the early lead with a TD pass to a freshman.

With the new visitors stands, they're probably pushing 8K.

I think that pass was to a Sheridan defender...he just proved why he was on defense ;) but a good job of that young man staying poised and catching it! That's the thing about high school ball, you always feel you could have played better...I feel the same about Sheridan.
