A regional title in 01, losing to Ignatius, a 'parochial school' with twice the boys we have.
A regional title in 02, losing in overtime 21-20 to Warren G. Harding.
A regional title in 05, losing by 7 to St. X, another 'parochial school....again, with twice the boys we have.
A regional title in 09, taking Glenville deep into the 4th qt. tied at 17, only to lose.
If that is the goal at Mass. Winning regional titles than great job. But where I come from State Championships is what counts not regional or AP champs.

Where did I say this was our goal? You may be able to pull the old switcharoo on your boys during gym class, but not on me buddy boy.

Your statement was that Massillon is "not relevant", my statement is that we have won 40% of the regional championships in the last decade....despite being a very small DI school.

Attention: One of the smallest DI schools in the state being 1 game away from the title game 3 times....and making it to the title game once in a ten year span....IS BEING RELEVANT.

Is it a state title? No, but it is a FAR FAR cry from not being competative.

Skank...I agree. Massillon is very competitive...but the only part I don't like about your post is the reference to the parochial schools. Every division and every public team in the state of Ohio has to deal with it...it is what it is!

I think winning bigger games will come for Massillon when they can stop the "revolving door" with their head coaches. Changing coaches every 3 years WILL NOT win championships!

...and can you guys just stick to one style on uniform/helmet for more than a year? I think that helps to build some identity also.

I agree, this guy needs to stay for a long time, but the administration has got to give him some flexibility as far as him bringing in guys HE wants on the staff.

I also agree on the Helmet thing, I favor a leaping Tiger, but if they want to go with the Obies on the Helmets, go with the original one and stick with it. I liked the Helmets this year with the obie and the tapered stripe, but when they came out for week #4 they had that tapered Tiger paw swiping stripe down the middle....I didn't like that.

As far as the parochial subject, notice I'm just giving my opinion, I didn't start the thread. I do however think there IS a distinct advantage in the way parochials are allowed to obtain some of their kids.

    Good Luck this week
