I'm one who has less respect for Ashland right now than I did at 6:59 Friday night....but that probably doesnt matter, just thought I'd throw it in.
Agree with an earlier poster...it's about CF's defense stopping Ashland's offense. If they can run the ball like they've been doing and control the game....maybe get an early lead...they have a shot. Maybe a little more realistic a shot than Orrville had.
I'm rotting for CF to win and bring those 2nd level points to Orrville in week 9. -
FlashAshland will win if CF doesn't have a good secondary, its as simple as that. (Unless it rains a lot.)

riders1Wow, points up for grabs, 38 for Clear Fork and 36 for Ashland. Play clean but I wouldn't mind a few sore gimpy players next week

I went to the Dover @ Ashland game this year. Ashland has a great offense that can light up the scoreboard, that is for sure. Their defense also made just enough plays to beat Dover, but I'm sure they will need to play better than they did that night to beat some better teams. Their star WR/DB was a heck of a player (scored all their TD's), but was flagged once for unsportsmanlike conduct after a TD, and for a late hit on the sidelines. He and the team could have been flagged a couple other times I thought for excessive celebration as well. Obviously this kind of play has been a problem for the Arrows all year. Hopefully they can just let their play do the talking for them, as it would be a shame for them to lose a game because of their undisciplined behavior on the field. -
you think you knowI don't know what you Orrville people are talking about losing respect, I don't know what game you were watching but I remember watching an Orrville player swinging wildly and punching an Ashland player in the back while he was trying to tackle him and continued to do it when out of bounds and he got flagged for it. I think that players on both sides had trouble containing their emotions. I by no means condone these actions on the field by any team. Do I lose respect for Orrville because of a couple of kids actions, I think not, because they are High School kids playing an emotional game and hopefully they can learn by these actions and mature.
-
FlashHe wasn't punching the player, but trying to hit the ball loose with an open hand. I agree he hit the player and deserved the flag. Time to stop this. Ashland won and was the better team. Period. Talk about Clearfork.
-
supermanCoach Carroll talked about starting fast after the Madison game and that certainly is the key to this game. If the Colts score early and don't have to play catch up, they will have a good shot at this one.
These young men have an opportunity the next two weeks to redefine the program at Clear Fork. I think they are just the boys to do it. -

hoops23Seeing as how Sandusky put it to Clear Fork, I'll be pulling for CF in this one to get us major computer points.

riders1Clear Fork would get the major computer points at 5.5 & 30.5 points, Sandusky only gets 5.5 not the major points.
