BigDean that's my oldest brother. He is in his early 50's! My dad worked at the Campbell plant he worked in the open harth! His name was Jim also. But i forgot about the last game forgive me i have a mental relapse. My brother Rich played on the 81 to 82 team with Michael Jackson And philip bailey!

Campbell definitely has the big play ability and that is scary if your a Salem fan. Salem has a ball control..grind it out offense with 4 starters back on their offensive line and a 6'1 220 QB that no defensive back can tackle one on one. This is going to be a great game and your crazy to miss out. Here is the difference in my opinion...Campbell is looking at 10-0 and Salem is only looking at being 5-1..playoffs dont start for them in 5 weeks ...they start in Salem on friday.

I had a hastily made image I posted for Girard fans a few years ago, let me see if I can find it anywhere on this computer (I lost a hard drive between now and then)

EDIT: OK, that was easy to find

Point A is the entrance to the High School, F.E. Cope Drive (that long driveway), for reference.
Point B is Reilly Stadium, on Pershing St.
    Red blocks are free parking

I assume you will be coming into town from the north on Route 62, The street that the HS is on (Lincoln Ave.) is what you are on when you continue straight when Route 62 heads off to the west on a 4-lane highway to bypass Salem.
If you would end up coming into Salem from the east on 14, you can also see where it is on this map.

In terms of those parking spots, the one right by the stadium there is a pain in the butt to get out of after the game, because fans and cars are all leaving through one narrow gate. You can also only access it from Lincoln Ave. because Pershing is closed on the other half block (it is school bus parking). That one to the southwest of the stadium is the Reilly School lot. Small, but easy in/out if you get there early, walk around the school to get to the stadium. The other 2 are municipal lots.

Thanks Ts1227. I bought a GPS about 2 years ago just for the games... I use to just hitch a ride my my brother till i moved about a hour and a half away. I know there is limited parking one year i had to walk about 10 or so minutes to the stadium from where i parked.

Sunny and 64 tomorrow ......... Red Devils will not be able to blame the weather. :)

    Red Devil fans,
Just found out there is no adult pre-sale, only students. Apparently Campbell does not have a contract with Salem for the adult pre-sale, so plan on waiting in line. Note: the Campbell frosh were up 18-6 on Salem at half.

Sonnyblack lets us know how JV did.

I plan on arriving at the stadium around 5:45 on Friday. I worked overtime for two days this week just so I could leave early on Friday. Campbell huddlers, I will do my best to save seats for you. Look for me on the vistor's bleachers near or at the top, between the 40 yard lines. Look for the goofball wearing a red Boston Red Sox jacket with blue lettering. QuakerOats, since you and your fellow Quaker huddlers will see us with the hint I just gave everyone, feel free to come on over to the Campbell side of the stadium and root for a Campbell victory !!! I drove over to the Campbell Party Shoppe earlier this everning to get myself a ticket. But as sonny mentioned, pre-sale tickets for this game are only being sold
to students. I was told the CMHS frosh won 30-18. GO DEVILS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I believe the game John played vs. LaBrae last week was one of his best as a Red Devil. Hopefully, he can duplicate that vs. Salem. GO DEVILS !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That's odd, they should be selling adult presale tickets. With the way I understand it being set up in the AAC it's that the away team just doesn't keep the money from selling adult presale (you only get to pocket student presale).

Either way, if you don't want to wait in line, hit up one of those convenience stores in Salem that I mentioned, they will sell tickets right up until kickoff.

We will have our sights on you and will be monitoring the behavior of your sidekicks. :)
    Look for a heavy dose of #12; but don't take your eyes off 4, 10 , 20 and 21.
Good luck, no injuries, and may Salem prevail !!
    Go Quakers !!

I have some bad news for you Devil fans. I don't know if any of you post over at yappi.com (a pretty good Ohio sports forum), but there is a guy who posts under the name vamp2syd who predicts games and posts his power rankings for high school football. His prediction rate is in the low 80 percent range and he is within 25% to 30% with his point spread predictions. To make a long story short, he is fairly accurate with his predictions, and according to his power rankings he has picked the Quakers to win by 8. Of course, he is wrong 15 to 20% of the time, so........

Personally, I'm happy that I don't have any money riding on this one. At least the weather won't be a factor.

Interesting; I refer you to my earlier post containing my prediction: "28 - 20".
    And no, I am not vamp2syd :)

maybe we should simulate a thousand campbell salem matchups on playstation and see what happens lol theres a reason they play the games so no reason to say sorry til after the game lol

Yep, that's why they play 'em on the field. Paper stats don't account for all of the intangibles such as injuries, officials mistakes (they do make mistakes, don't they?), a player getting dumped by his girlfriend the day of the game, etc, etc.
  • reddevil90
JJ sports Fantastic 50 has Campbell in a win.. i think it was 53 percent probable and by 3. so lets throw all this out and lets see what happens since this is probably going to determine they playoff picture for Salem. Not so much Campbell but could set the devils back into a fight for there playoff lives. Div 4 reg 13 is in a big race. a loss here a win there and its lights out for anyone right now. Go east liver pool. they play Martins ferry. And how about chagrin falls going from 8th last week to 3rd and we only move 5th to 4th. Go figure.
  • GoPens
The Vindicator gives Salem no chance. 8 picked Campbell. 1 picked Salem...might as well not even show up boys...they say there's no way we're gonna win. (Just like last year...;))

Let's hope for a well played game, with no injuries.

    GO SALEM!!!

So where is the Reilly Stadium OC gathering taking place tonight? :p
  • soupcitysoldier
ya i hope the referees mistakes in columbiana county arent too noticeable lololol we all know how that goes lolol but seriously should be a good game...salems the favorite theyre a larger school playing at home. they should be favored. i just hope campbell can compete with salem physically and pull out a close one. i wont be devastated with a loss...but im hoping we can pull it out.

    Salem 43
    Campbell 21

    FINAL

First half was no defense at all, then Salem made an adjustment at the half and Campbell was no longer able to get the runs to the outside. Campbell couldn't get anything up the middle. Penick for Salem set the single game receiving record for Salem I believe they said? 220 or something.
  • Ohio
Wow! I heard 21-20 at half what a adjustment of salems defense.
