Week 2 - Orrville (1-0) vs Triway (1-0)
-
RedRider1
Let's keep it civil people.
Both teams come in after posting big week 1 wins. It was done in different styles, but wins are wins.
Can Orrville stop the "air titan" attack. Will this be the year Triway finally gets a win at Orrville?
Let's chat it up. -
thePITmanThis should be a very good game. Triway dominated, but West Holmes is a pretty bad team, especially their defense. Orrville, on the other hand, got a win over a very tough opponent. It sounds as if they got a few gifts with 3 early possessions starting from the the 20 yard line or closer. However, good teams take advantage, and Orrville is a good team. I think both teams pose problems for the others' defense, so this could be a high-scoring game. I told someone last night that I expect this game to be around a 30-something to 20-something final. I'm not sure who I think will win, but my Titans have a shot!

5knotsWhat a great week coming up for High School football. Nothing beats strapping it up against a formidable backyard opponent....this is what Friday Night Lights is all about. We should all relish the moment....could be preview to a week 11, 12, or 13 if we are both fortunate enough. Triway has the experience from the QB which is formidable....Orrville has them at home in our house. Can't wait.
-
THE4RINGZI am looking forward to this one. Both teams come into the game with something to prove.
I will be trying to find someone's tail gate party to crash. -
RiderfanHopefully our D coaches will gameplan better this year than last. Then we should be OK.
-
CCRollyWill Pirman be back for this one?
-
Mr. 300Wish I could watch this game, but alas, can't. If Orrville can't get pressure on Carmichael, it could be a long night for Orrville. Red Riders will have a better secondary to challenge to Titan receivers, so the scoring will be a little tougher. Orrville needs Pirman in the middle....don't know that a frosh can handle this scenario. Good luck to both teams.

BRFI agree with what the Coach said about how nice it is to start the season at 1-0! It will bring nice "ambiance" to the week. .

better check your scouting report....... Max Pirman has never played in the middle, he is a defensive end. Now all of a sudden you are an expert on the Riders? How about you shore things up in Holmes county....we will have a better football "team" to challenge the Titans. Coach Lee and Co. has helped mold the Titans into a formidable opponent. Our Red Riders will prepare hard this week and look forward to the challenge. It will be a great night for High School Football....can't ask for anything more than that. -

Brutustriway in a big way. orrville your riding high but we lost the game you didnt win it. triway is 20 points better
-
THE4RINGZSour grapes and bad grammar.

CCRollyWest Holmes looked pretty rough against the Titans, but give Triway credit, they did what they were supposed to and took 'em to the woodshed. Yeah, Orrville squeaked out a win against a good opponent, but they did what you're supposed to...find a way to win. This game should be a battle. Wish I could make it, but I have to check out the Generals home opener against Wadsworth on Friday.
-
thePITmanThis game will be a battle! I don't see anybody running away with it. Too much pride on the line for both sides.
Go Titans! -

rrfanOK. Gut check time Riders! I hope nobody is feeling good about last week. Take the Win and know there is a ton of stuff to work on. Let's start with QB play. We have to get more consistant and work on reading defense in films this week. I see a big improvement from week 1 to week 2.
Should be a great week of talk with a great game on Friday. -
RedRider1Riders haven't started 2-0 since the 2000 season. Amazing.
How about our special teams play...in week 1 no less. 4-4 in the kicking game, a blocked punt, good long snapping (more than NW can say), Drew dropping 2 punts inside the NW 20, and of course the return from Turner. -
thePITman^^ We're the opposite. Two punts both under 40 yards, poor return game, and 0-4 on PAT attempts (1 high snap, 2 blocked, and 1 wide right).
-
NWIndianNation01Good luck to Orrville!

tsst_fballfanGood luck Riders!

THE4RINGZTo show just how impartial I can be, I ate dinner at Dravenstott's on Monday.
I must say though, the salad bar has gone downhill. -
CCRollyTo show how partial I am...I had an Oreo Blizzard at the Orrville Dairy Queen and it was awful compared to the one's in Wooster.

But did they still have the bowl of apple butter next to the cottage cheese? You and CC are cracking me up! -
RedRider1Dravy's salad bar is a shadow of what it used to be.
Ever since the mexican place opened up...Dravy's business has taken a hit.
So should Orrville fans be getting gas at the Triway Drve Thru...or bowling at Triway Lanes? -
riders1If you are near triway and need gas, push the car back to Orrville, don't go to either place
