Youngstown Mooney def. Steubenville 45-7

No, I don't expect you to be a mind reader. But in the week leading up the game you shouldn't expect me to post that I think Big Red will beat Salem either. I didn't have any hatred for Steubenville, in fact going into that game my first post said something about looking forward to conversation with a great fan base. But my mind was changed because the Big Red Huddle nation has been hijacked by douche bags and sorry, but it taints that image for all of you in my mind. Hard to have any sort of respect for someone that acts the way some of you do.JP1992 wrote: So Sq Crazies picked Salem to beat Big Red and he was quiet about it. What am I, a mind reader? Look, dude, I'm not picking on you, but you seem to have a hatred of Steubenville. And when you post things that confirm that, Big Red fans are going to respond. That's how forums work. I wish Salem nothing but the best next year, as I am sure they will see post-season action. I have nothing but respect for the Quakers, you guys turned the corner in 2009. -
JP1992I'm not with that group, Crazies. I do not think that Steubenville is almighty, because we're not. No one is. It's my belief that Big Red will have to play its best game of the year in order to win on Friday. No doubt about it. If we lose, I just hope that we will have played the best game that we could have. No shame in losing that way. If Mooney is better, so be it. I will hope that they win it all. But I still support Steubenville, and I believe we can win this weekend.

CenterBHSFanI can't stand sandbagging. You're either full-on or not.
(and I'm not even from Steuby! haha)
RRR!!! -
Lunactic4PrezI say Big Red wins this one 20-13. Mooney will have to contain all the Big Red threats (Wiggins, Jesse, Shaq, J. Pierro and Anthony P. and you cant forget about Macon.) I say the D makes the neccesary plays to stop Mooney when they need to most.
-
S.B-RedDo all of you mooney fans really think you are gonna blow us out? I mean if we lose it aint gonna be no crazy 35-7 35-13 because we are strictly too good for that
-
Mooney44CardsIf I predict a one point win for Mooney, will that make you feel better going into friday's game?
I mean this is a repeat of 2007 where we all heard Steubenville would hang and they didn't and even 2008 where some thought Mooney could hang and of course they didn't. -

Yes but they played without a couple starters and they played very conservative in the second half!snyds113 wrote:
Did Big Red have starters in that whole game`?I don't remember.YTOWN wrote:
Better yet, we both played a very solid Poland team.snyds113 wrote: Good deal.Ok so PCC smacked Ursuline Woody hills smacked PCC and we beat WOODY HILLS.I know it won't matter much come gametime. It is interesting Mooney only beat Urs.27-22.Was their speed to much for Mooney?
You played them at home and won 24-13.
We played them at a neutral site and won 24-7. -

tank2nastyI'm confused on what is considered personal attacks!
Because it seems to me that we always have something clever to say about football, and then someone will respond with a comment about our city or fanbase!
I know I'm a bit of an A-hole but I really don't think we've personally attacked anyone, I feel we are usually the victims of the attacks, though I don't mind them because I'm used to it by now that's all anyone can say ! I don't consider making jokes about a football team should be at all considered personal! Mods can you give me a little insight please? -

No, where do you see all of us Mooney fans predicting a blowout? I see one and he just responded. I've seen BR blowout predictions too. Who cares, they're predictions. I don't care if we beat you by 1, as long as we beat you. We were also missing two starters against Poland that got hurt the week before against Hubbard, so again, the Poland game is the best comparison. These two teams are pretty even.S.B-Red wrote: Do all of you mooney fans really think you are gonna blow us out? sherm03While I understand Big Red wanting to focus on the run game and stopping Heard...there are three other very capable running backs for Mooney that are also playmakers. Not only do you have to come up with a plan to stop Heard...but you also have to stop Vinopal, Griffin, hell even Charlie Brown! That's the key to the Mooney rushing attack there...a steady rotation of fresh legs behind a monster O line. So while you're D is tired and worn down...Mooney's backs are still fresh and ready to go!
And I hope the Big Red coaches are as narrow minded as the Big Red fans. Because if you honestly think that Zordich can't throw the ball...you are sorely mistaken. Mooney actually has a pretty good passing attack...just ask Bishop Watterson. You basically have to put 8 guys in the box to stop the Mooney run...and even that doesn't work most of the time. But if it does, a nice little play action pass will have you scratching your head as Mooney puts another score on the board. So keep focusing on the run...I'm sure Zordich is ready to throw the ball all over the D. Steubenville fans have already said they are susceptible to the big pass...Zordich can make that big pass!
I will say that it will be close at half...something along the lines of 7-7 or 7-6.
But once the second half starts...it could start changing. Mooney's D will adjust, and the O will start to wear down Steuby's D.
Final:
Mooney - 27
Big Red - 13 -

Lol I see the exact same except in vice versa!sherm03 wrote: While I understand Big Red wanting to focus on the run game and stopping Heard...there are three other very capable running backs for Mooney that are also playmakers. ManO'WarIs Mooney's Oline as out of shape as they were last year? Serious question.

And thanks guys, I'll post where I want to though. I seem to remember a lot of Big Red people posting on the Salem/Granville thread--why is it that everywhere I go, I can't say anything without Salem being brought up afterwards? Since I'm from Salem and my team is out then I can't have an opinion? I'm picking Mooney to win, it's pretty funny how I stand out isn't it? Why is it that everytime I say anything you guys get your panties in a bunch and bring up something totally irrelevant--like the Salem Quakers.
We've got SQ, a calpreps prediction ( same calpreps that had Massillon and pusheDover winning, right?), now WHERE IS ICHS BOY??? -
HuskersIf Big Red controls the line of scrimmage & forces Zordich to throw 3 & 7 or more it will be a long night for Mooney.
On the other hand if Mooney controls the line of scrimmage & then can work their play action game they will win the game going away. -

Calling a fellow member, coach, or kid a loser, asshole, idiot, etc..you get the point..it's all fine and well if you wanna talk about the towns too IMO..but when you talk about the crime, drugs, hookers, welfare, etc..then that's over the line as well. No need for that here.tank2nasty wrote: I'm confused on what is considered personal attacks!
