OHSAA's Decision on Football State Championships

You know, honestly, I love Massillon, AND Columbus. I love the Tigers AND the Buckeyes. I love Paul Brown Tiger Stadium AND Ohio Stadium. My point, If someone has a reason for the games to be moved from Massillon/Canton to Columbus or anywhere else for that matter, that's fine, I will respect your opinion, and when I give MY opinion, I would hope you would respect that also....BUT....When someone ONLY says Stark County sucks, or Massillon/Canton sucks, or, PBTS/Fawcett suck, it gets old. I know Stark County doesn't suck, it's being hit by some hard times right now, but....ISN'T EVERYBODY? I mean, if your area/town/county ISN'T experiencing some tough times right now....I'm quite happy for you, and I hope it stays that way for you. I know Massillon doesn't suck, it's a tough town, with tough hardnosed kids and adults. As for what someone said a few posts back about cars getting vandalized, I went to a Jr. High Choir concert this past school year at a neighboring school and got my car keyed, and this school is one with a VERY GOOD reputation. I will say it was a Federal League school, and I did have a Massillon Tiger static sticker in my back window. So that just proves that this can happen ANYWHERE. And as forpb sucking, well, just ask ESPN and USA Today why it made their list of top ten stadiums in the Nation then.

As I've said before, if they did what was right, I think the games should be moved to C-bus, for the simple fact that it is centrally located, but I do enjoy them being in my backyard, and hope it will continue to be held here.

Not to beat a dead horse, but flip over to ESPN right now. There's your atmosphere for the 2014 finals for at least divisions II-VI, if not D1 as well.

    It's freaking ECHOING.

I got to play a state title game in Ohio stadium in 1984 . They never did put the crowd in the record books for some reason but Steubenville had fans from one endzone to the other and it was loud as hell. We played a team from Columbus and they brought several thousand fans and we dawrfed them. They never did a crowd count for that game but it was nice and it was very exciting to play in the shoe and it was very very loud believe me ofcours it was an unusually warm day in the high 50s so that helped . Just want to say my experience in Ohio stadium was great wouldnt trade it .
I think Stark county does a fine job as well and having the games go back and forth is ok with me . I do say no to playing in a soccar field . No let them boys step onto the horseshoe turf ,they will cherish that moment .
