Wooster Football 2010

  • THE4RINGZ
From what I have heard and seen Wooster players are excited for this season to get under way, and are relishing the underdog role that seems to have been cast upon them.So maybe all the cynics will be pleasantly surprised with the onfield performance this season.

    Here's to hoping.

Oh, thank you so much. I had penciled in cleaning out my sock drawer. Thanks again! ;-)

If you were going to clean out your sick drawer why should it matter if the scrimmage got changed ?

There are all kinds of areas to post in around this thread. All parts of town errrr this thread have openings.

To answer your question CC, I thought Wooster looked pretty good at the seven on seven. Obviously a predominantly running team like the Generals is at a disadvantage at a purely passing scrimmage. But yeah they were able to move the ball.

Wooster's defense (and a few of their receivers) were pretty athletic and quick and gave our kids a few fits. Both teams I'm sure found plenty to work on. It was a "successful" 7-on-7 in that both teams found some high points and low points. No 7-on-7 is good without hitting a few road blocks. See you in a few weeks!

Any update on Duke Price? I left the Wooster/Northwestern/Triway scrimmage around 8:00 and heard that shortly thereafter Duke went down with what appeared to be a bad knee injury. I hope it isn't serious. Good luck this season, Generals!

I ran into another player at the store yesterday and he said he had no new news on Duke.

I did give my opinions of the Wooster scrimmage I saw on Saturday over on the Triway thread if anyone is interested. I would post it here too but it is too long to type again and I am basically lazy like that.

    Bump for opening day.

Congratulations Generals on your win Friday/Saturday.

Generals now 2-0 and heading to Ellet. Could they start the Ohio Cardinal Conference with a 3-0 record?

Is this team exceeding the expectations of anyone beside me?

Nothing better leading up to week 10 than Orrville and Wooster having successful starts. Keep it rolling over there and we will do our best over here and it will culminate with the greatest week of the year! See ya in October.

Yeah and with it being played on Saturday I can actually make it.
