Wooster Football 2010

  • THE4RINGZ
Now CCRolly and I can discuss The General's football on our own forum. Feel free to join in.

If Turner's appearance at Orrville's football camp is any indication, Wooster is losing an impact player to their #1 rival.

That is a tough break for the Blue and Gold. Hopefully they can salvage a decent year and get some fan support this season, pick up some momentum and turn the program around.

Wooster has some good talent on the way, but I worry that the kids have lost interest and are tuning out the current regime. This could get worse before it gets better.

I coach middle school lacrosse at Wooster and there are three or four kids that played for me as 8th graders this past spring which also play football who have the athletic ability to be certain impact players for WHS football in a couple of years. I just hope they don't become discouraged

Having just heard more today on the situation with the player reportedly going to Orrville from Wooster, I feel bad for those involved. I understand, now, that it's more than just wanting to play for a better program or a better team with more exposure to big-time colleges, if that was even part of it at all. Good luck to all involved!

    Yeah, I'm ready to vomit.

im sure they would...we prob wont win a game this year ;)
  • CCRolly
I, for one, would love to know why in Sam hell Galion is on our schedule. Seriously? I wouldn't mind seeing New Philly back on the schedule, or even a Medina or Barberton. Same with Ellet...why the hell are we playing them again?
  • THE4RINGZ
Ellet is usually a confidence builder for the Generals. NP only seems to schedule teams they can beat by 50 points until they get to the Dover game. (they went 9-1 last season and missed the play offs). Medina would be a good game. So would Medina Highland or Cloverleaf.

Why Galion? No idea. Maybe they were the only team that could be found with an opening on their schedule.

Anyone hear anything about Dover, New Philly, Northwest , and maybe Shelby joining the OCC and going to 2 divisions in the league?
  • thePITman
Oh wow. I can only imagine Lexington, Senior, Madison, and Ashland traveling to New Philidephia and Dover. Ouch!

Can't be any worse than CVCA traveling to Indian Valley in the PAC. Almost an overnight trip.

I haven't heard anything about this. It is intriguing however...
