Massillon lets Glenville win, to play for first Championship ever!!!

  • skank
I don't think it's out of the realm of possibility chiefs, Massillon held a Twinsburg team averaging I believe 32 or 34 pts per game to 7, they held a McKinley team that has been racking up the points, I believe I read in the paper averaging 35 pts per game to 7. Now I know Glenville is a different animal, but they have nowhere the discipline a Mckinley or a Twinsburg has. Also, I believe McKinley matches up with Glenville better speed wise, but Massillon will bring physical AND mental toughness that cannot be matched by anyone at this point of the season.

On paper I think Glenville wins but Massillon is playing their best football at the right time. Glenville has choked before to teams they were supposed to beat at this point. 04 McKinley for instance. I'm picking Glenville but wouldnt surprise me at all if Massillon gets the win.

Gotta go with the Tigers in this one, Ginn will get out coached by Hall.

I do not have much respect for Coach Ginn. Hoping, Massillon puts a whipping on them. I think the Tigers can play with them and keep disciplined throughout the game.

Being a Massillon fan I thank you for your support. Don't be too hard on Coach Ginn. You are correct in that he receives many players from other Cleveland (and Mansfield) schools, but the exposure and scholorship offers he gets his players is tremendous. I don't know how many of these young men would go to college without him. Now before someone starts talking about graduation rates...that's not Coach Ginn's problem, that is the young mans. There comes a time when we all need to be held accountable...this is theirs.

He may not be the best coach in the state...hell I don't think he's the best in Cleveland, but he works hard to get his kids in college. He takes them "on tour" and introduces them to college head coaches. All this is good for his ego too. If you haven't noticed or met the man...he has a HUGE ego, but he does right by his players.

Having said that...GO TIGERS, BEAT GLENVILLE!!

I don't know what you are trying to insinuate, well, actually I do, If you want someone to win their first championship, you should be cheering for Glenville. Now, on the other hand, if you want someone to win their 23rd, Massillon is the team you want to cheer for.

I couldnt agree more about the 1st Championship won on the field. If you are seriously counting the poll titles awarded by sportswriters, Dover even has one of those. We dont even count it.

That is definately NOT, Bi Gal, there is no way that he could end a sentence with Go Tigers, even if he is trying to hide his identity.

Imagine me saying Go Hoo....Go Hoo...., see, I can't do it either.

Dover won theirs in 99, during the playoff era. Massillon won theirs when that was the method of deciding.

And please, don't EVER compare Dover to Massillon again.

www.ohsaa.org.............If you click on football, then scroll AllTime State Championship results. Interesting that they begin their records keeping in 1972. Therefore, in this form of OHSAA''s records even they dont recognize and Titles won by massillon!!
