Cavs Magic Number over Lakers Down to 4!!

With 8 games to play...provided New Orleans holds on to their 11 point lead with 6 minutes to play.

    Sounds good to me!

Regardless of our disagreements on Jamison, we can both agree this is a good thing!

After last year, I am not as concerned about this...although, it is always nice to have the home court.

To be honest, this is the least excited I have been in a regular season since before Lebron was drafted. I am just patiently waiting for the ECF.

Lead down to 7 points..come on hold on!! Hornets.

You watching this online? I can't find the game.

Looks like NO has this one..

    Nice.

In the last 3 finals...the team holding the HCA won the series. Hopefully, the Cavs get there this year...and then clinch the deal.

Yes it's over. You might want to bookmark ATDHE.net. Can watch any game that way.

    QFT.

You can also watch WWE, UFC there as well.

    Watched Wrestlemania last night.

However this thread of agreement has creeped me out soooo.....

Footwedge you're a tard for you continuing bashing of Jamison :dodgy:

Feeling the exact way lately. I'm still watching every game but I'm just kind of going through the motions at this point, just get me to the playoffs already. Which is crazy becuase if 2002 burt07 saw that I was in this mood with the Cavs he probably would have already murdered future burt07 for "going through the motions" with a 60+ wins team. I won't say ECF just yet as who knows, nothing's guaranteed, that much is for sure after last year.

I was no angel regarding the Jamison hatefest here. And I deserved some of the bullets. So far, PTJ has played better than I expected him to. I thought the media overplayed him and I really thought that he would disrupt the chemistry. Well, looks like I was wrong.

I still think Daniel Gibson needs to see the floor more. No knock on Parker or DWest or anyone else, but Boobie provides lightning off the bench.

When Shaq comes back, it will be interesting to see how many minutes Z gets. He looks pretty rusty right now, but he can shake it off like he did earlier in the year.

Shaq will also be rusty, whenever he does comes back.

This!! I've thought this all year long. But mostly all I have heard on here is if that he doesnt fit in with what the team wants to do..but that was before they went on their 13 game win streak with him starting about 11 of those games with mo and delonte out.

Gibson should see the floor but West has been playing very well lately and Parker adds more defensively with his size.

Cleveland is just too deep and talented, so Gibson is out and its worked this entire season.
  • Pick6
I really think he should be taking time from Mo.. I mean I love Mo but to me i seems he has taken a pretty big step back from last season.
  • sleeper
Count me in as a Cavs fan who wants to see more Gibson and less Delonte/Mo. I like Delonte/Mo, but I think Gibson is not getting the playing time that he deserves.
  • Cleveland Buck
I don't want to see less Delonte, but I would definitely like to see less Mo in favor of giving Boobie some minutes. He just steps right on the floor after not playing for a week and knocks down threes. He is a much better defender than Mo Williams. He is even a decent rebounder for a PG. And the most glaring images in my mind are Mo Williams putting up bricks in the ECF, and Boobie with 31 points in the clinching game of the ECF. Boobie is a clutch shooter and I think we will need that at some point in the postseason.

^^^When Mo goes cold...he goes cold. From that standpoint, I would agree. But when Mo is feeling it, then the Cavs usually roll.

Back to the topic, the Cavs might clinch home court Sunday in Boston. That would give Brownie a chance to rest players, and then experiment a little bit.

    Holy Christ! Welcome back! :P
  • SQ_Crazies
Brownie has been experimenting all season, which is awesome. I hope we clinch as soon as we can, because I agree that Boobie needs to get minutes. The thing about Boobie is, he's really not THAT good. But he makes big buckets--hopefully he can get a butt load of minutes in the last 3-4 games and get in a rhythm heading into the playoffs. He's always big for us in the playoffs--so there is no reason to believe he won't get playoff minutes. He's one of those guys that elevates their game big time in big spots.
  • devil1197
Gibson is not a MUCH better defender than Mo. Although Gibson has improved, both guards are still not that good at defending and are hidden due to Cleveland's great help defense.

I'll give Mo the benefit of last year being his first big year in the playoffs. He better come to play or you'll see more lineups of West/LeBron/Jamison/AV/Shaq etc. Bigger lineups with LeBron controlling the ball and Jamison at the 3. They have used a roster like this, insert JJ for Shaq, the past few games as Jamison has been stretching the floor nicely.
  • Cleveland Buck
Boobie is a MUCH better defender than Mo. Whoever Mo is guarding can blow by him almost at will. Gibson does a much better job of cutting off penetration and staying in front of his man. Gibson also does a better job contesting shots than Mo does.

No he isn't, plain and simple they are both not good defenders at all. I am not sure you have seen enough of him this year to even make the claim that he is MUCH better.

He has improved (mainly being due to his health) but he still lacks the defensive abilities of West and Parker, hence no minutes.

At the end of games, if Mo isn't hitting at all I'd prefer to sit both and have Parker/West on the floor defending.
  • SQ_Crazies
I think that Boobie is a stronger defender--he's gotten A LOT more physical in the last few years, because he finally got stronger. But the way he plays defense would have him fouled out 75% of the time if he played 40 minutes.

Mo isn't a good defender, never was. But his offense is obviously what keeps him on the floor. He better get his shot back or he won't be with the Cavs much longer because that's what he's there to do. What I do like is that lately when his shot has been off he's been finding other ways to contribute and still be worthy of his minutes. Hopefully he can at least keep that up if his shot is still cold because Jamison and Hickson have taken a big load off of everyone else in the scoring department.

Boobie has improved in other areas too, in games he played this season he took the rock to the rack a lot more than he had previously. You could make a case for Boobie getting some of Mo's minutes were it not for the familiarity he has with things as they are. They're both lacking a little defensively.
