  I can't understand how you think a guy that hasnt' played more than three games in a row can be expected to look like Joe Montana in the pocket.

  The Browns issues go so much deeper than the players on the field it's ridiculous. Lerner is not a football guy, listens to bad advice from guys who are also not football guys, hires no name coaches, assistant, front office...it's friggin pathetic.

  You are correct in what you say. As for the QB situation, I feel like DA at least has a chance to make a play once in awhile (like the TD in the Pittsburgh game). I really don't think they can get a play over 20 yards with Quinn.
  
  Hopefully they hire a football person to run the front office, and give him the power to make the decisions to get the franchise back on track.

  He's been in the league for a few years now! You didn't see Aaron Rogers come in and look like this when he took over for Favre. Yes, I realize his team was better, but I'm talking about just the way they look. Do you disagree that he looks like Charlie Frye in the pocket? Happy feet, not comfortable. Rogers came in and relaxed, and that's just one example. Look at Matt Ryan, Joe Flacco--they were ROOKIES. Quinn just doesn't have IT. He isn't an NFL QB right now. He needs different coaching or something, I'm not saying he can't ever be decent--I am saying he'll never be great, but he probably hasn't reached his potential. But I'll be very surprised if he ever does anything that's very productive in the NFL.

  I really don't think anyone could mimmick C. Frye's "deer in the headlights" look, he was the master. I really think Quinn has a better appearance than that.
  
  You cite Rogers and Flacco...but you just can't compare supporting casts, how they were handled by the staff, coaching changes, offensive schemes....need I continue?

  LOL, are you kidding? Frye's "deer in headlights" look is the perfect way to describe Brady's play. I already said with those guys that you can't compare that stuff, do you read? I said you can tell in the way they look on the field. Quinn plays like Charlie Frye and those guys came in and relaxed and did their job. ROOKIES. You can't compare the difference between a rookie and a guy thats been in the league for multiple years either.

  They're ranked 35th and 36th in the league, yeah, there are back-ups ranked higher so who really gives a shit is the point I guess.

  lmao, those two "deep" passes he threw at the end of the game were a JOKE. Now you ALL know why there are no deep plays in the playbook when he's out there. That was PITIFUL.
  
  We'll have a new QB next season. Hopefully not with our first overall pick though.

  I know their problems go way deeper, that's my whole point. I don't understand people calling for Quinn. Anderson has already proven how good he is when he has people to throw to. How can anyone be surprised that he sucks when he's currently got no one to throw to.

  Both int's were off the receivers' hands. Quinn might stink...but to claim Anderson is better is just dumb.

  I am not, and will not, evaluate Quinn's ability to be an NFL quarterback until we address our horrific right side of the line, our lack of a running game, and our lack of having a playmaker on offense. Thats the type of QB Quinn is. He isn't Peyton Manning, nor will he ever be. He won't turn Austin Collie's and Pierre Garcon's into legit options, and he won't ever be able to make the throws that Brett Favre makes, but we knew this when we drafted him. At one point he had two playmakers, both who were more concerned about their next contract than they were about the number of receptions they would have, and both who more than once were major distractions to the football team. Gruden and Jaws both had more good things to say about Quinn than bad things. After the game they criticized how he played, but also pointed out that A. the offensive line blew the entire game and B. our receivers managed to get separation from the DB's about 5 times the entire game. How many plays is a QB going to be able to make when they don't get time to get a clean pass off, and when the rare circumstance occurs when they do get time to try and make a play, their receivers can't get open?

  Maybe there is a reason for that. Maybe he just isnt the "Most ready NFL player" college QB to come out that year as (soon to lose his job) Charlie thought.

  How does a qback make the pro bowl whenever he ranked 18th in the league that year?
  
  He had no business making Pro Bowl...and anyone with any kind of assessment abilities would agree.

  This is the worst team in the league. But maybe the Bills should get that prestigious award for actually losing to them. Both QB's have really struggled, but I'd go with Anderson. He will at least throw down field. He's the more accurate passer. He's also taller. How many balls did Brady have knocked down? If they let him start the rest of the season, every team will eat him up. If a defensive coordinator knows there isn't a threat of a deep ball, the qb isn't accurate beyond 10yds, and doesn't have a high release, his defense will eat him up-- much like last night.
  
  The Browns should not draft a QB. They need to get a decent vet and build the rest of the team up. I actually think they should go for John Kitna. Some of you will laugh, but he's much better than anything you've got. I actually think they should have traded for him this year.

  Point is, he made the pro-bowl. But I wouldn't expect a guy to get that since he still believes Brady is better than "the worst quarterback ever". At least Anderson lead a team to 10 wins when NOBODY though they'd even be .500. Oh I'm sure a few homers said they'd be .500, but those guys don't count since they say it every year. The only thing Brady has managed to do in this league is grow his hair out to resemble his sister's hair. But hey, he's done enough in this league to have a better resume than Anderson.

  At least with Anderson they let him throw the ball downfield. He just sucks. With Quinn, we have no idea how bad he really is.

  Why is it the coaches that don't "let Quinn throw downfield"? You really think Mangini is only letting Quinn throw 3 yard outs? No, that's the only pass Quinn is comfortable in throwing.

  Well we saw what happens when he throws down field, in a situation where throwing a pick is absolutely not even in your frame of mind and your in desperation to try to put SOMETHING on the board. 5 yards out of bounds, not once but twice. It looked like a replay. I'm no NFL QB and no Brady Quinn, but I bet there are a lot of people on this site, myself included, that could have at least kept the ball in the field of play.

  Anderson was an ALTERNATE to the Pro Bowl.
  
  Here is where I stand. This season is a joke. We are going no where. I have seen all I want to see of Anderson. He isn't the future of this team. Now as far as Quinn he has struggled no question. But in my mind I would rather spend this time trying to see if there is anything in Quinn at all. The bottom line is it doesn't matter who you have in win's aren't going to come. Between the O-line, the lack of time to even step back to try to pass, the recievers dropping balls, we just don't have anyone for the QB to even give the ball to to move it.
  
  It is just a mess as we all know. Anyway my point. I vote we take the time to see if Quinn can become something more. Cause in my mind Anderson has proven he isn't the future of this team.
