LeBron James (Out) vs Milwaukee

  • september63
The line went from CLE -4 to Milwaukee - 4. Still looking for why he has been declared out!!
  • devil1197
Cleveland is just giving him rest because of the ankle last night. Nothing serious, just some good ole rest as Cleveland has/will continue to build a lead for the #1 seed in March.

    Per Windy:

-LeBron (ankle) out tonight at Bucks. Team says it is for rest, not serious. First missed game of season.

-Cavs are saying Mike Brown decision, not out because of ankle. Either way, he turned his rt ankle twice last night & is not playing.

-Mike Brown considering sitting LeBron Monday vs. Spurs as well. That would give him a week off. Cavs off most of nxt wk for MAC Tournament.

-Jawad Williams to start at SF

I just snuck in the Bucks +3. Thanks for the heads up!

He needs the time off. Let that ankle heal as well as the body.

So Cleveland has Shaq, Z, and LeBron out along with Gibson.

Should be interesting to see this team play.

Thats a nice spin by the Cavs. Obviously it is cause for a bit of concern. However big or small. The ankle must have tightened up on him overnight. You dont just rest players during the last 3rd of the season.

9 days rest can't hurt in the long run.

    Laley, your local didnt know?

What spin, the Cavs know he tweaked it. They also know that they have a big lead in the Eastern Conference and a good lead overall 3 games on LAL.

There is no reason to force LeBron, who tweaked the ankle, to play tonight. The Cavs still have a good shot at winning even with these guys out, its not like were playing BOS or ORL.

The Cavs aren't going to ride LeBron if he is injured, a certain team ran their star for too long before resting him. I'd rather have LeBron miss 2 games and still have a lead overall for the #1 seed than to play him and have a nagging ankle injury all season.

Devil, the spin I referred to was the comments you posted by Windhorst. LBJ not playing bc of Mike Brown decision, not an anke injury. he says according to the Cavs in his comments.

It was according to the Cavs as an ankle at first.

Brown came out in the pre game interview to say it was solely his decision.

    Article:
Cavaliers coach Mike Brown says he's sitting his superstar, calling it "just a coach's decision" to keep him out of Cleveland's game against Milwaukee on Saturday night.

"He's played a lot of minutes for us," Brown said. "I just felt it would be good for him and for the team to hold him out."

James had 40 points and 13 rebounds in a 99-92 victory over the Pistons on Friday night, but also turned his right ankle slightly. Brown said his decision had "nothing" to do with the injury and James could play if needed.

"He's a competitive person, he wants to be out there," Brown said. "Sometimes I listen to him, sometimes I won't listen to him, but tonight is a great opportunity for him to get some rest."

It's on for me. Cavs just went on a big run. Delonte is playing really well again, remember his last game against the Bucks. Jamison looks good tonight, doesn't he Footwedge?

Good example of what I was saying--LeBron goes down, Jamison can take over as a leader. Andy is still good but he thrives on the offensive end because of LeBron. JJ just can't take over and lead a team the way Jamison can--big reason he isn't as good yet.

Jamison is doing the damn thing.. 21 points in the first half.. I'm not sure what's up, but you don't go shooting 75% from the FT line to 50% overnight.. He's 1/5 tonight at the line, so he needs to get that in check, otherwise everything else (including defense) has been fantastic today.

    Delonte also playing well..

Cavs were down by 13, came back to take a lead and now trail by 1 at the half... I'll take that..

This game shows why Cleveland we after an offensive PF who can score without the help of LeBron or Shaq.

Cleveland would be getting owned without Jamison as Mo is once again a no show.

Glad to see Delonte playing well again.

Mo will be fine. It's gotta be somewhat tough to be out for a month with a shoulder injury and come back only to readjust everything because the Cavs acquired another scorer..

He's shown up when he needed him (4th against Boston and OT against Toronto) so I'm not worried..

But yes, it's great to have Antawn to fall back on as well.

Also, some conspiracy theorists are saying the Cavs sat out LeBron against the Bucks on purpose to help them get the 8 seed lmao.. Yeah, it looks like the Cavs are really trying to throw this game! How about the game Monday when LeBron may sit out again?

Some make a story out of anything...
  • devil1197
Mo will be fine but its not just been his shooting. His defense was never great to begin with but he has been horrid lateley. Just doesn't seem right to me.
  • hoops23
Well, maybe they are trying to throw the game haha..
  • devil1197
    Haha, probably.
