LOLHow does Jamison help Cleveland?

pkebkerHe certainly helped the Cavs last game with his 19pts 9rbs and with a good shooting percentage. He wasn't the reason why the Cavs lost that game...Footwedge is the ultimate fairweather fan

Footwedge^^^^Learn to know the difference between a fair weather fan, and one that is disappointed in his team making a poor, unneeded trade.

sleeperFor the 30th pick in the draft, he sure as hell is worth it.
-
ytownfootballYeah, somehow I'm not buying that the #30 pick in the upcoming draft is going to help us much this season.

That is exactly what you have done. Cavs have a 3 game losing streak and you start saying they are a bad team. And when the Cavs start winning again, we will see you back on the bandwagon. Fairweather... -
SportsAndLadyfootwedge is the biggest cocksucking cavs fan in all thee land. Ignore his retarded threads.

SQ_CraziesIt's probably your blog.

Hb31187Yeah giving up that 30th or w/e overall pick and a big man that probably could use a rest AND you get back in 30 days...what a bad trade
-
sportchamppsI will tell you why I like Jamison, it is because he can knock down open 15-18 footers. He will get a few open chances each game because Lebron will draw double teams. The Cavs did not give up much to get him and his contract isn't a cap killer. Jamison also has playoff expereince and can be a scorer when need be. It takes time to gel with a new team and it's okay to have your doubts but give him a month and then pass judgement. If after a month he looks washed-up I will admit I was wrong.
By the way you should look up the win producer stats and look at who ranked high. It is a dumb stat one you look where different players rank. -
devil1197LMAO at someone citing a blog.
Wedge has truly gone downhill. The guy is an idiot. -

HereticAh, a thread like this gives me that warm, fuzzy, flashback feeling to the first week or two of the NBA season when some were about ready to AN HERO themselves about "How in the ahell (WTF) Does Shaq Help Cleveland" because the Cavs started slowly.
What some don't realize is that not only are the Cavs integrating Jamison into their line-up, but they also are bringing Mo and Delonte back into the swing of things after those two missed time with injuries. After missing "x" amount of time, it will take a game or three for them to shake off the rust.
There are certain things that are obvious.
1. Like other trades of this sort, you have to know there was an agreement between the teams (even though no one will admit it). Washington wants to trash everything and start over. Cleveland wants to put another bullet in their gun. Starting over doesn't involve being the proud new owner of an old, expensive center. It does involve getting rid of an expensive veteran like Jamison who doesn't fit into their potential future. And buying out the contract of Z, to let him go wherever and clear more cap space also works towards that future.
2. I read a comment by Footwedge saying he hopes Z decides to stick it to the Cavs by signing elsewhere. Do you actually think Z wasn't involved in any way, shape or form with this decision? At his age, a month off with enough time to shake off the rust before the playoffs has to be Valhalla for him. He's a great team player. He's been a career Cav and a quality player for them (ie: he's respected). This whole thing was set up to give them a new piece for the puzzle without costing them an existing one. He'll be back and he'll be well-rested for the 10-20 minutes they'll be looking for from him in the playoffs. -
FootwedgeNo Heretic....I was just a tad ticked off. I want Z to come back. The main problem with the team right now...drum roll....well...it's not Jamison...it's Mo.
He is either not healthy, out of sync, or both.
Back to Z. He's not the same player as he once was...but neither is Jamison. -
Heretic
I agree with that. Mo will need a bit of time to get back into rhythm. And if he can't, well, the team did have most (or all, can't remember) of a 13-game win streak without him. And I thought they actually looked as good as I can recall recently with LeBron being the point guard. It seemed the ball movement/distribution was consistently better and there were fewer instances of four guys standing around to watch LeBron do whatever he does. So, I think there will be an adjustment period to get Mo back in rhythm, as the team obviously wasn't suffering without him.Footwedge wrote: No Heretic....I was just a tad ticked off. I don't look at Jamison as a be-all/end-all guy, but he will be a helpful piece. And, unless something bizarre happens, Z will be back by the playoffs. The way I look at is that this is a nice reward for pulling so far away from the pack in the East -- they get to endure rough patches with guys coming back from injuries and integrating themselves into the line-up without immediate consequence. Who cares if they lose a few games while doing so? As long as they're ahead of the pack in the East and gelled for the playoffs, I'm cool. Overall home court would be nice, but I'd rather have the best possible team assembled by the beginning of the postseason. -

Haha "Jamison is not the problem" says the guy who starts the forum "how in the hell does jamison help cleveland"...wowFootwedge wrote: No Heretic....I was just a tad ticked off. I want Z to come back. The main problem with the team right now...drum roll....well...it's not Jamison...it's Mo.
