NBA may not allow Z to return to Cleveland.

Z has averaged better that 18% more rebounds per minute careerwise versus Messiah 'Tawn. Z's lifetime shooting percentage towers above the new Messiah. .475 vs .445.LTrain23 wrote: Yeah, Footwedge, we get it.. You're butt hurt they traded Z...
In fact, you're so butt hurt, you're on record as saying you kind of hope they lose in the 1st round, just so it back fires on them..
Z is coming back, we got the best 4 we've had since Boozer was here and this team is now truly loaded...
Guess who got us back in the Orlando game in the second half? Antawn. He got comfortable and went crazy in that half. Sadly, our guards went 4/24 from the field.. That's where the problem lies.
Ferry is a great GM...but he sure fucked this one up.
Too many "fans" claim we didn't "match up" last year. Funny thing...last year's team was a plus 9.1 average per game...and plus 13 or so through the first 2 playoff series'.
Now Ferry pulled the plug for a supposed "stretch 4" The team didn't need a stretch 4 last year, nor this year.
Yup...43 and 11 wasn't good enough...that was the record with ZZZ on the team. The record with the new Messiah is 0-3.
Well. the fans got what they asked for...a team that is not nearly as strong as they were.
If I were Big ZZZ....I would tell Ferry to lick his nuts and go play for Cuban and the Mavs. -

No way? You're telling me that a 7'3'' Center is averaging more rebounds than a 6'9'' stretch 4? That's not to say Antawn is a bad rebounder. In fact, he's a damn good one.. Also, Z shoots an entire 3% better than Antawn? Wow. Let's not forget that Antawn usually had to create his own shots, seeing as he's never had the pick and pop options Z has had. I'll take 20 ppg and 9 rpg anyday. Antawn is also hitting on 35% from 3 this season... Another welcomed addition.Z has averaged better that 18% more rebounds per minute careerwise versus Messiah 'Tawn. Z's lifetime shooting percentage towers above the new Messiah. .475 vs .445.
Oh really? Looks like he fucked Washington and the rest of the NBA imo.. Seeing as how Boston and LA cried wolf at this trade and what may go down in a month..Ferry is a great GM...but he sure fucked this one up.
Sigh.. And what did all those pretty numbers get us again? Oh yeah, a 4-2 series loss to Orlando.. Ben Wallace on Rashard Lewis anyone? We don't have that problem this year, thanks to the TOTAL revamp of our roster..Too many "fans" claim we didn't "match up" last year. Funny thing...last year's team was a plus 9.1 average per game...and plus 13 or so through the first 2 playoff series'.
Really? Again, I didn't see any parade strolling through Cleveland in June last season.. Did you? Did I miss it? Nah, because there WASN'T one. Wanna know why? We lacked scoring and flexibility throughout the roster. Now Ferry pulled the plug for a supposed "stretch 4" The team didn't need a stretch 4 last year, nor this year.
Yawn.. Didn't we start 0-2 and 1-3 this season? Z was on the roster then was he not? Or am I mistaken? Also, we are 0-2 with 'Tawn, not 0-3..Yup...43 and 11 wasn't good enough...that was the record with ZZZ on the team. The record with the new Messiah is 0-3.
Really? I saw some flashes from this team against Orlando Sunday that I've NEVER seen in that 3rd quarter. Orlando had no idea who and how to guard us.. Antawn brought us back in the first 1:30 by HIMSELF.. Scored 8 straight points and had a key block in the run.Well. the fans got what they asked for...a team that is not nearly as strong as they were.
While neither side will spout anything about it, Z knew what was going down. His contract was set up PERFECTLY for this scenario, seein as how 10 of his 11.5 million had already been paid.. Not to mention that the restructuring of his contract in the offseason included a 600k bonus for being traded.. He's made over 50 million with the Cavs.. You know what Danny Ferrys first big act as GM was? Signing Z to this BIG contract, despite all the troubles he had staying healthy. If anything, Z owes Ferry a big thank you.If I were Big ZZZ....I would tell Ferry to lick his nuts and go play for Cuban and the Mavs.
Not only did Ferry improve the team, but Z gets to rest his aging body to be ready for a playoff run. He may not get major minutes, but he'll definitely have an impact with his height in some of these games.. Past few postseasons Z has looked beat down and tired.. He won;t have that problem now.
If you think Z's heart is anywhere but Cleveland, then you're not as big of a fan as you claim to be.. You also clearly don't understand the game. -
FootwedgeLast week. LTrain. I think it was Doug Gottlieb that had a really interesting subject for discussion post Super Bowl.
The theme for his show....Funny that not one caller called him a "buffon" for using such horrible logic. But since I claim the Cavs were better than the Magic last year, I've been called anything and everything on here.
Back to his show.....
Paraphasing here...."are the Saints really the best team? or were they just the best team that day in the Super Bowl? He then argued that Minnesota was clearly the better team on the conference championship game.
He further added, "the game was likely headed to OT, had the Saint cb not gambled big time on the pick 6. yup...one play...from an OT thriller to a 14 point blowout.
Anyone remember DeLonte's inadvertant tap of the ball out of bounds? Anyone? Had West not inadvertantly tapped the ball out with 15 seconds to go, the Cavs would have won that series.
But because of that one play, (there were others including Andy ready to tip in the winner with .2 seconds left on LBJ's hanging second free throw) the Cavs "weren't nearly good enough".
But now the NBA know it alls think that Orlando was "clearly better". LMFAO and SBOTCS (spittomg beer onto the computer screen.)
Shame on Doug gottlieb for using all "that common sense". -

bases_loadedLTrain owned you footwedge. But how hard is it to get owned when you are arguing that Z is a better player than Jamison. Let us know what his shooting % is from the trade on and if its still lower than Z's you win.
-
Footwedge
I'll take that bet any day of the week regarding overall field goal percentage, foul shot percentage. 3ball percentage and rebounds per minute percentage. I'll even throw in points per minute. Also, fg% from 12 to 18 feet, and 18 to 21 feet. Z will win in every single category...just as he's done his entire career.bases_loaded wrote: LTrain owned you footwedge. I'll take each one as a separate bet.
Each player has set a predecent as to who they are and how they do, ZZZ has smashed Jamison in every stastistical category.
Thanks for posting....I will follow it quite closely. -

LTrain hasn't owned dick since the subject was brought up. And the more he responds with his nonsense. the bigger the hole he digs.bases_loaded wrote: LTrain owned you footwedge. Fred FlintstoneLeague source says NBA would not ban Ilgauskas' return to Cleveland

Nice try LA Times. The NBA isn't going to set precedent mid-season, maybe a change off-season, but not now.The source, who requested anonymity because the league typically does not comment on what is essentially a personnel matter, told The Plain Dealer there was no truth to a report from the Los Angeles Times claiming the NBA would try to block Ilgauskas' return because the deal was previously agreed upon by the teams.
There has been no evidence of any such agreement.
...and more good news.Forward Leon Powe, recovering from microfracture surgery on his left knee, said he has been cleared by team doctors to play. If Brown activates him, Powe could make his season debut against the Hornets. -

Ok?? Haha. I'm just saying, I don't know how anybody who watches the NBA can sit there and say that Z is better than Jamison.Footwedge wrote: Funny statement coming from you...given the fact I coached you several years ago....just sayin.
