Cavs at Orlando

Same thing with the Nuggets game.

Looks like they have lost focus....kind of a mid season lull. Not concerned though, no one in the east is on their level.

    0-3 now without Z?

^^^ I've been saying this for 3-4 years now that Mike Brown really needs evaluated by the brass of the organization. His COY awards means squat to me as that is all LBJ. The guy is very suspect in managing the game and his rotations and style of play if yu ask me.

No other team is on their level? Based on what?

The reason we lost this game:

    Mo Williams 1-9 shooting
    Delonte West 2-9 shooting

    Cavs Free throws: 16-25
    Cavs 3pointers: 3-16

You can't win with those numbers. Our guards are NOT getting it done at all. Say all what you want about Lebron but its been our guard play that has been terrible lately!

    Talent, Depth.

I know you are going to say the Celtics, but they are old and beat up

Maybe I'll be the only one, but I'm happy with the game today. Don't like giving up a late 5 point lead though. In the end though i think they figured out sone things that are really gonna help us down the road. I'd imagine Jamison will now start and if expect more of the james guarding Nelson for pick and role purposes later on and in the playoffs.

Nobody was on Cleveland's level in the first half but Boston and Orlando clearly can be stronger in the second half with good health and better focus.

Still not a big deal for the Cavs, but that can't be said for very much longer. They need to get it rolling again soon, but they still have the best record, so no biggie really. Nice to see Jamison get it rolling some more today. This trade did exactly what I was scared of and it screwed up our chemistry. They all look like they've never played together during stretches these last few games. But no big deal, IMO they didn't play that well and they were in the game against a good team on the road. They'll get it going. I knew this stretch after the AS break--especially after the trade, was going to be a tough one.

I give you that. But if they are healthy post-season.....Watch out! Heck they nearly knocked off Orlando last year without K.G.

He wasn't today. Needs a couple more weeks of rest. His shoulder seems to be hampering him from getting through screens.

I don't understand Mike Brown. You're in a tight game in the fourth. I keep waiting for him to put Lebron in the game and yet The King is nowhere to be found. WTF????
  • wes_mantooth
No doubt that if Boston is healthy, they are a definitely a threat to win the whole thing, but time is not on there side. We will see though......
  • SQ_Crazies
I noticed that too, Mo's shoulder doesn't appear to be 100%. Actually, I'm guessing his shoulder is 100%, but his head isn't. He doesn't look comfortable back out there yet.

Hahaha...leads the league in 4th quarter scoring. You really going go there based on one game?

Cavs definitely need to figure out the new chemistry.

I think Orlando showed that they still have the firepower and variety of options to present problems for Cleveland.

Cavs would probably win this year but in a tough series, 4-2 or 4-3, with the Magic winning a couple games like that.

Eh, it's hard to take much from this game IMO. This isn't the real 09-10 Cavs right now. I still think when we're playing at our highest level (which isn't happening for a variety of reasons right now) that Orlando doesn't have the firepower to hang with us. And they don't really have the match ups to exploit this year either.

I haven't watched an NBA game since December. I keep hearing about this King that's the greatest player since MJ.

Why is he not in the game in the fourth??? Especially if he leads 4th Qt scoring??? I'll never understand this NBA thing......

I mean I wouldn't recommend stand up as a career for you, but if you can't make yourself laugh then I guess no one else will either--so you have a start at least.

Not as much as last year but I think Orlando can play at a higher level than they have so far. This game was more about the Magic saying "hey, we still can be pretty good" when everyone is on the same page. I think the talent is actually pretty comparable. The difference might be the drive. Cleveland is hungrier to win it this year. Magic can play even a few games, but the Cavs should win a series.

82 game season, so they stick to a pattern of resting him to start the fourth. They just want to keep his minutes down. After last season, I think we all know that the regulars season doesn't mean dick....I want them to win every game, but rest is important as well.

Not to state the obvious but Mike Brown is a horrible coach. He didn't learn a thing after last may and threw the same scheme at the Magic today that he did in the East finals. It didn't work then and it certainly doesn't work now. If the Cavs get knocked out before the finals again he needs to be let go.
  • mallymal614
I forgot who said it (I think it was either Kenny or Charles on TNT) but the Cavs offense of Lebron going 1 on 5 is going to hurt them in the playoffs late in games, like it did last season. Mainly because teams know that is what they are going to do. Maybe Cleveland should try something different every once in a while to keep a team honest?

Cavs are gettin dumped by the Bobcats regardless.
